Does anyone remember the cost for having things pressed??
The idea of someone else doing it for me sounds great!

It's free if you do it yourself! I'm too cheap to let someone else iron for me.

I know that they have this service but I do not remember the prices. I do not think that it was outrageous though just more than I will spend for it.

Those prices are not so bad, considering we're in the middle of the ocean, floating in a trade monopoly. I may seriously consider having my husband's dress shirts pressed.

Personally, I am the world's worst ironer. (is that even a word??) On our first cruise I had DH's suit and my gown pressed. They did the most incredible job. My gown was even put on a hanger with one of those cardboard forms for the bodice. Looked better than when I bought it! So worth the money and I thought it was really inexpensive to begin with!

I iron what I could do myself (or feel like doing) but they do a fantastic job of pressing clothing onboard. It's worth the cost IMO.

Thanks for all the information! I have to say I am also pretty cheap :-) Thought it would convenient for our formal wear.
Going to check out that site now.

Thanks!

PACKING NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!....................
(OKAY, I know I am a little early :-) )

:earseek: Our room was right next to where the free irons were.
It was easy to use and I really never had any lines to wait to us it. The lines were always to use the washer and dryers. We were on the second level room 2101. Just Do what you think will be best for you. It will be a Wonderful Cruise!!!:sunny:

I am as cheap as they come but the $12 I spent was the best of the cruise (yes, everyone has their priorities) - the work was exceptional and the tiny charge per garment saved hours (OK, maybe only one hour but did you read the post about the satin dress!)...I only pressed the first nights outfits.
Considering the cost of the cruise, drinks, I thought it was a terrific splurge...
Now, on the other hand, I won't do laundry on the boat and yet other posters have explained they like to go home with all clean clothes -

I hate ironing and had three dress shirts, a dress, a gown and 2 pairs of pants ironed. It was the best money I ever spent. It was picked up when we went to dinner on the first night and was back in our room by the time we came back from lunch the next night. No fuss, no muss.
