Cost of interactive pins?

What is the cost of the interactive 100 year pins? The ones that light up? We have certificates for free pins for each interactive pin that we buy. We want to get all 5. What are we in for $$ wise? Do I need to save more? I saw a set at ebay selling for $99 and was wondering if this was an inflated "gotta have it" price or if this was par for what the pins cost individually.

The interactive pins are $15.09. I know, that's a strange price, but that's what the pricetag says!

By the way, the interactive pins are a ton of fun! Mine went off at Pirates, HM, Great Movie Ride, Tapestry of Dreams, by the elevators at the Contemporary (don't know why). someone told me that vacuum cleaners set them off!

mine also went off in "its a small world" Also if you are going to the world, dont forget to buy them at the sorcerer's hat in MGM with your copy of the Virtual pin certificate. You will get the internet pin for free that way.

My son collects pins and I was unaware of these types of pins. Where can you get these certificates? We are leaving for WDW this Thursday and would like to get him one for his Christmas gift.

It may be an odd looking price tag, but it's done that way so with tax it's an even $16.00.

I had a list of most of all the "activation locations" at one time, but I can't seem to find it now. (Don't know how many would want to actually know where the pins go off anyway, takes away from the surprise!)

Certain CM's also carry hand held pin activators and they can activate Guest's pins from far away as well.

You can get the internet certificates at disneyworld.com You have to register and then "collect" the four virtual pins in your "Virtual Pin Box" Then you can print off the certificate. You have to redeem them under the hat at MGM. The internet pin is a special pin and you can redeem the certificate for up to 4 pins (Buy 4 interactive pins, get 4 internet pins free) We have two certificates since my dd also wanted to do this.

$16 x 5 pins (plus 5 free pins) = $80 yowch!! But it's once in a lifetime, right? LOL!
