cost of getting gutters cleaned--any idea??

I live in Northeast Ma,my house is a 2-story colonial. Anybody have an idea how much it would cost to have someone clean the gutters?

I'm not sure of the cost, as I've been quoted anywhere from $30 to $150. One thing you do want to be careful of though is hiring somebody who is insured. There's been a rash recently (saw it on 60 minutes or something) of people who offer to do household repairs/cleanup like cleaning gutters and then they have an "accident" on your property. They can file a claim against your homeowners insurance if they aren't self-insured. So make sure you check it out and good luck!

I never even thought about the insurance aspect! We need to have this done, too. In fact, I'm going to make some calls tomorrow.

We had our gutters cleaned for $65. Plus, I had a $10 off coupon that came in the coupon valupaks they send out so it only cost $55 for a split entry. I about 10 miles northwest of Boston and used American Gutter Cleaning of Tewksbury. They advertise $35 to $75 average house. They come within 7 days of calling and did a good job.
