Cost of express pass

Hi there

I have my flights booked from the uk for may 2014 and am staying at wdw. I am looking to do 2 days at universal/ioa with express pass but universal wont tell me what they charged for express pass mid/late may this year. Does anyone know roughly what they were?
Lastly someone mentioned that it may work out cheaper to book an on site hotel for one night as you get free express pass plus I will save on one lot of cab fares from disney to universal. Is this really true?

did you check the calendar on dates for next year on the UO website?

if the prices are not listed for the ep, then they are not in the system yet.
just keep checking.

the prices for the ep is based on what UO expects the crowds to be.

if they expect a large crowd in the park, the ep's cost more.
low crowd, the ep's are set at a lower price.


and, getting closer to a date, the ep's can increase based on expectations of more peeps in a park.

what prices this past May were for the ep's, might not be the same for next year.
