Hi,

I'm in my friend's wedding in a couple of weeks. She will be treating all of us to a manicure just before the rehearsal dinner, but I also need to get a pedicure since I'm wearing dressy sandals. Is $20 reasonable for that? It sounded high to me but I wasn't sure as I never do this. Please let me know, thanks!

Here a pedicure is $35, spa pedicure is $45. Manicure is $12, French Manicure is $15. If you get both a mani/pedi you save about $5-7. Then add tip on top of that.

It really depends on where you go. Spa's are usually more expensive. I think that the nail shop in the mall is about $20. The spa is is $35 to $45.

I'm in NJ too. $20 is low end, but not unheard of. More typical is $25-30 for a nail-only salon, higher for full-service salons and spas.

Same here for PA. I definitely wouldn't bank on $20... more in the $30-ish range. :goodvibes

Enjoy!!

$20 is really good! I pay $30 here in Maine (just got back from Vietnam, though, where I paid $1.50!!!!).

Thanks - I should have said that I was quoted $20 and wanted to know how that sounded. ;)

Around here, if you can get a $20 pedicure I'd be there every week!

The cheapo salons are usually $25-30 base and the spa salons are closer to 50-60.

For this area, it depends on where you're going. If you go to one of the quick nail places that does acrylic, not to stereotype, but the place that's usually run by asians, a pedi is generally around $30. If you live in the NYC area, you can get a mani/pedi for $18.

If you go to a spa, you're going to pay over $50. $20 is ridiculously cheap, I doubt you'd get one for that. Also, don't forget tip.

$20 is super cheap! Here they range from $25 - $40 for strip mall places- depending on what you get done.... all the way up to $75 at some spa's.

Wow! For once, the NYC area is cheaper. I pay $18 for a spa pedicure, $8 for regular manicures and $12 for french manicures.

I just paid $25 plus tip. I sat in a fancy massage chair that had a foot bath, got a foot and calf massage, plus of course my toe nails done. I just picked a neutral color, I think a french pedicure would have been a few dollars extra.

But that was over two weeks ago and my toe nails still look perfect, so at least it lasts a long time!

I got a Mani and Pedi yesterday here in Northern NJ and paid $25.00 for both.:cool1: On average $20 here in my area is the norm for a Pedicure.

Magic Nails on Franklin Ave. is the cheapest place in the area, and are good. I'm thinking $18? Not including tip? ETA - I believe you can get a mani/pedi here for $23 (this area of NJ is the land of asian nail salons, so it's cheap).

On Saturday I paid $33 and that included a $5 tip. It was $28 for mine but I had a treatment done on my feet to remove the calluses on my feet that I got after spending 2 weeks in the woods camping. The treatment cost extra. I think a base pedicure around here is $24 or $25 as most nail salons. If you get it done at a spa or hair salon it's anywhere from $40-$60.

I also need to get a pedicure since I'm wearing dressy sandals. Is $20 reasonable for that?!

That's very reasonable.

I paid $20 for a pedi only at an Asian salon on Rte 46 in Parsippany on Friday.

The (also Asian, but a little more upscale) salon/spa in Whippany that I usually go to charges $25, but you can get a mani/pedi there for $30.

French usually costs a few dollars more.

I'm on LI, NY and around here I pay about $18 for a pedicue plus tip. Alot of places have specials, like Mon-Wed mani and pedi is $18:thumbsup2
