Cost of a bottle of water onboard?

It's a fair point. But, it's also kind of the point. It is just water, and $70 for a csse of crappy water is absurd and nearly double the 2019 cost. It's just a bit frustrating. Just because I splurge on expensive travel, doesn't mean I like to waste money or feel like I'm being taken advantage of.

It felt nice to rant a bit, but I can see why it's a bit silly given the price we pay for these vacations. That's why I jumped in. To be fair, you don't need to read the thread if the topic doesn't interest you.

Good point I do understand where you are coming from though when you say you don’t want to be taken advantage of.

I don't have anything to contribute to this thread, I'm just exercising a morbid fascination at how seriously people take their hydration preferences.

I assume the water at the drink stations is getting filtered there before dispensing, right? I think Coke requires it before mixing it into their syrups, so I would guess the stuff coming out at the dispenser goes through the same filter. I'm not sure how good the filter is, but since I drink the soda from their, it wouldn't make sense to refuse to drink the water.
Yup, the drink stations have filters. Even if they aren't the industrial kind of the lower levels, they will take care of the impurities. What we did see in, say, Michigan was that the filters at end points couldn't do much against the constant tainting from miles and miles of decades old plumbing.

Modern ships have much better plumbing, and the cruise lines have a strong incentive to keep everyone on board healthy. Much more so than the often budget constrained municipalities on land! It's tied to their profits in many ways.

Still, some of us are drinking a gallon of water daily - and just don't want the risk.

I was just curious about the cost of 1 bottle so we can decide if we want to carry some on, order some onboard, or just order one here and there when needed. I do appreciate the suggestion of a refillable bottle. But as grandparents bringing our grand-daughter, we will not want to carry a bottle around with us everywhere we go. We will most likely bring bottles to refill and keep in our cabin to drink while there.
