My wife and I have travelled through Oahu several times, but never to Aulani. Joining us will be our 3 grown children; DS 23, DS 21 and DD 19. While we enjoy WDW and cruises, we will need our escape time from Aulani into the Waikiki area. A few night spots we have discovered from past visits, both in downtown or near are personal must-sees (we've always stayed in Honolulu). I'm thinking a day trip as roughly from 10am to 8pm.
What seems the best dollar value and convenience into town, figuring the Royal Hawaiian as the area base? Uber v. Taxi v. shuttle(?) v. 1 or 2 day car rental?
