cost analysis help needed?

DW and I (w/ 6yr. old DD consent) finally decided last night to book a 5 night stay at Ak- Savanna view 1/2/04-1/7/04(value season). My DC will have expired, AAA qoute of $261/night(tax inclusuve) :rack is 275/night plus11.5%. CRO qouted a winter dreamaker package(room,tickets,"extras") for $1752.50(tax inclusive) or approx.$350/night for 3 of us tickets included. But, I think the tickets are overkill as we would probably not utilize, first day and definetly not day of checkout. Also, would a regular dreamaker package with" flexibility/extras" be competitive. Help? Any recommendations on best value w/ this plan of attack?

For us it would depend what the extras are... For example - does the admission that is included with the package include DisneyQuest or something else you could use even if you arrived later in the day? What about check out day? Or if you had the passes and arrive early enough or left late enough would you go ahead go to a park anyway, or maybe have one of you take DD into a park while the other packed or unpacked? We've done this before and it was nice to settle in or pack and clean up without DH and DD in the room.

I would look at all there is to do, and what times you plan to arrive and depart. List the cost of doing things with AAA discount or whatever else is available to you, and total it up. Do the extras include meals? If so, look at the menus on www.wdwig.com and see if for where you want to eat is it worth the price per day. If you want to do all sit down meals it may be, if you plan to eat once a day and snack it may not be worth it. For us sometimes it is, sometimes it's not.
