Does anyone know if the kosher items at Cosmic Rays are freshly made or pre-packaged, frozen airline-type meals?

They have got to be pre-packaged. There is no Rabbi to supervise the cooking!

Thanks. Of course they wouldn't have a rabbi there. I can't believe that I didn't think of that. I guess I'll have to stick with the vegetarian choices.

I spoke with Cosmic Rays yesterday. They said that the food they have is frozen pre-packaged by Weberman's (spelling?) and certified by the OK. The guy there said the options are Hamburger, Corned Beef, or Chicken Strips and cost, with tax, about 9-10 dollars.

At Crystal Palace , the Kosher options are: salmon, beef brisket, veg lasagna, chicken breast, mac and cheese, hot dog, chicken fingers, blintzes, choc cake, apple strudel, cheesecake. I think there's an item or two I left out, but they have a bunch. You get soup and rolls also. Downside is you will be charged the regular buffet price, but you do get roll, choice of soup, entree, and dessert.

Cosmic Ray's kosher selections are pretty good. I usually get the burger there. I strongly encourage anyone that keeps kosher to order kosher food in the theme parks. Right now, Disney has enough demand to keep these options available, but not enough demand to expand them or improve their quality.

Even though I do not keep kosher out, I make it a point to order a kosher meal at one of Disney' counter service restaurants every trip to encourage them to expand this products.

I'm not Jewish, but I ordered a Kosher burger at Cosmic Ray's a few years ago because I could get it from the salad line and not have to change queues to get Mom's salad and my burger. It was good, I really liked the potato patties it was served with better than french fries.

Bomzar - Crystal Palace has kosher hot dogs? Great! Yeah, I know it's not worth the buffet price for JUST that, but it's good to know these are available somewhere on Disney property! Thanks!

I believe that the Kosher food at Disney now comes from Danziger catering in Chicago. I know that their food is top knotch when fresh, but have yet to taste it frozen, shipped, microwaved, and double wrapped....
