Cortona Inn ?'s

Hello all, I am looking for some general info about the Cortona (location, etc) as I do not seem to recall this place. If anyone has any reviews, even better. Thanks in advance.

We stayed there a couple of years ago before we figured out that we really prefer walking distance and also not having to rent a car. The price was great and we were able to afford a suite which was really nice with small children. The rooms seemed decently clean although I wouldn't have wanted to sleep on the sleeper couch in the living area. We really liked the pool and hottub. We had booked through the entertainement book (hotes.com it turned out) and there was a mistake with our reservation (it said a reg room and not a suite). The guy at the front desk was kind of a jerk about it and I had to sit out in teh parking lot for about 45 minutes on the phone with hotels.com to get it straightened out. It was never clear whose "fault" it was . . .

Anyway it's quite a ways down Harbor BLVD. I'd say maybe 3 loooong blocks. I noticed some people did walk it but we never would have. We drove and parked and that wasn't the best arrangement for our family. Keep in mind that we stated at the Candy Cane Inn last year which is about a block away from the pedestrian entrance and that was almost too far for us. We're wimps and we like to go back and forth to our room during the day.

Thanks for the info bethy. I think right now I am leaning towards the Hojo based on past experiences.

I believe it's just on the other side of the Clarion hotel, by the Doubletree Guest Suites.
