If my husband and I purchase a 10-day park hopper, we can upgrade at anytime for a discounted DVC AP by just paying the difference between the cost of the 10-day and the cost of the AP???

As long as you have not used any days on the hopper, you should be able to upgrade. Otherwise, you will have 14 days from first use to manage any upgrades.

Good luck!

There's an excellent informational thread on WDW tickets over on the Theme Parks Forum. The information was provided by Cheshire Figment - a WDW CM and includes a section on upgrading all kinds of tickets.

If you plan on hitting the parks more than 10 days I would just get the AP. I believe the breakeven on price is 9 days. Price it out with the DVC discount since I haven't in a while.

Leaving very, very soon and am overwhelmed at work at the moment. So, some of my planning is not where it should be!!!! IE EMH at parks, tickets, transportation...

Got an e-mail through mousesavers and thought Undercovertourist had a cheap price for 10 day. Not sure if we are going back before the year is up. So, hate to spend any extra money, if we can decide once settled into our Disney vacation!

Thanks for the link, lots of good info there.

I do have one question. I have a few 'older' passes that have unused "Plus Options", they were the 6 +3 tickets. The plus part is for water parks etc. Do the plus options expire? Do they need to be modified to current tickets?

Thanks.

Assume you are talking about park hopper tickets that were purchased prior to the introduction of the "Magic Your Way" ticketing system. AFAIK, those plus options never expire and you can use the tickets "as is". Before you try to use them, though, I'd recommend you verify that they are still good by taking the tickets to Guest Services or the Concierge Desk at your resort..

Thanks again, I thought they were a 'never expire' ticket but thought I would check before the gang hits the water parks.
