My daughter will be joining me at the Princess race next week. She has a 10k time of 1:03, that she ran in Novmber 2010. Will that be accepted for corral placement. I would think that would put her in B corral.
Thanks, Pam

I believe that by bringing chipped time proof to the expo when picking up package should be sufficient.

Have FUN!

Anything after Jun 2009 should be accepted- she needs to print off the official results and take it to runner relations at the expo.

She should be placed in B with that time based on where I've seen others placed.

Last year I waited until November 5th to send them my race time info because I had a 15K race on Nov 2nd I wanted to use for corral placement. I sent the information along with a link to the race results page in an email to Disney and they changed my estimated finish time accordingly. I didn't have to wait until the expo. I think you have until Nov 15th to email in you proof of time. After that, the expo is your only option.

Her 10K time is very close to mine. I think she will be placed in Corral C.

Thanks everyone....last year she was placed in B at the Princess. However, she had not run a 10k since then, and did not know if the race was recent enough. So, she will bring the results to the Expo and hope for the best.
Thanks, Pam

I heard that 2:10 is the cut-off for 'A" for Princess this year (10 min/mile.) I'm not sure what formula they use for 10Ks but I think it's pretty generous. She should have no problem getting into "B"

They probably double it and add either 5 or 10 minutes. Typically, 2 hours to 2:10 has been the cutoff for Coral A for most Disney races. (The exception are the Princess, and I think the Tink - there, the fastest guys still line up in B.) Anyway, a 1:03 for a 10k should put her in B.

(The MacMillan running calculator says thata 2:20 half is the same equivalent performance of a 1:03 10k, which sounds plausible.)

Is it simple to get your corral placement changed at the Expo? My sis and I have times that would place us in Bish or C. Do they actually make adjustments? We missed the deadline and I have a 10 K time of 1:14 and she has a 1/2 time of 2:22 and we are in H right now!

We took in a 10k time for our first Disney race--W&D 2010. Print out a copy of the race results to show them. It just takes a couple of minutes.

The only bad thing (in my opinion) is you don't get a new bib, they just put a sticker on your bib with the new corral.

I've "heard" that if you have a smart phone, you can show them the race results on it. Once you get your bib, look for the booth that says "runner relations" or something like that and that is where you go to change corrals.

Joan,
Thanks for the smartphone idea. We both have iPhones so that should do the trick.
See everyone soon!
