When does corral placement come out? I can't remember when I got my corral placement last year. I ran the full last year and I'm running the half, so I don't have anything to compare it by. I was also curious because there are others in my party running, but I'm pretty sure we will all be in different corrals.

I didn't get an email confirmation either year when I submitted my times, but last year I was in the correct corral for the full.

I don't think you get it before you get your waiver to print and sign. I know which coral I'll be in so don't seek the information out so there very well might be another way but I don't remember ever knowing before I saw the waiver.

It's kind of like a Christmas present. About a month pre-race.

I was in corral C for the full. My proof of time for the half was a half I ran earlier this year and finished in 1:54. My wife submitted proof of time from the same half in 2:19. Two friends are running their first half marathon and don't have a time to submit so they'll obviously be in the last corral.

I was curious which corral we'd each be in, but for selfish reasons, I was trying to gauge how much time I'd have if I run a half time of 1:45-1:50 and my wife runs a similar time to her last half and the newbies run in the 2:30-3:00 range since their corral will be much later than mine and even my wife's.

How many corrals do they have for the half and how long is it between each corral. For some reason, I was thinking it was 8 minutes for the full.

Corrals will be different this year...more of them with less time between starts. So it's hard to predict this time.

Last year there were 8 corrals for 26000 runners starting on a 7 minute interval. Assuming the same size race I would guess between 16-24 corrals on a 2-5 minute interval. The 2 minute intervaols for the smaller front corrals and the longer intervals for the larger rear corrals. Size of the corrals from 500 for the first 3-4; 1000 for the next 4-5; 1500 for 4-5 the 2000 per corral there after.

Doing the math, looks like a total of 62 minutes plus or minus to clear the line. That would clear MK about 6:30, DAK 10:15 and the ‘official’ finish line by 1:40ish.

It's funny, all the re-arraingement and the balloon ladies are still on the same schedule. Though, I do think that for the majority of folks in the race, the track will be less congested than in the past. The exception will be for those in the last 2-4 corrals where a lack of race experience creates a higher level of etiquette issues. While the first 6 miles will feel more open, I still think that the return from MK along Floridian Way will still have a rolling roadblock feel for many mid packers and later runners.

Yup. It was about that time last year when I found out I was in corral H. Yeah H and I thought...holy Toledo Batman! I am really in the trunk of this weekend aren't I?

Anybody know what the times were for each corral last year? I know it will be different this time, but just curious.

The only race I had eligible was the TOT 10 where I ran a 2:07 which is 7 mins off pace for me :rolleyes:I'm guessing I'll be in the second to last corral.
