hoe is corondo springs? food, rooms, Locations to other parks and resorts, transportation> and anything else you can tell me?

The CSR is one of our favorite resorts. The resort is beautiful, great theming at the pool and we have yet to find the room that is a 15 min walk to the food court that so many people talk about! It is a large resort but well laid out. The food is in our opinion is great and transportation has never been a problem. Will be there Oct 4 through the 11th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CSR is my favorite moderate resort. Check out my CSR website below for pics, links and info. CSR is centrally located with short rides to AK, MGM and Epcot and about a 10 minute ride to MK. Blizzard Beach is across the street. I feel the transportation is the best.

THE PROS
No sharing bus service with other resorts
Centrally located with short rides to the parks
Largest hot tub on WDW property
Awesome main pool area with bar, snack bar, playground and kiddie pool
3 quiet pools
New shuttle service eliminates long walks to any of the villages
High speed internet service
WiFi available too
Free use of the gym
Spa
Fridge in the room
Coffeemaker in the room
Iron and ironing board
full room service menu
2 arcades
beautifully landscaped
central air, not a noisey wall unit

THE CONS
Full size beds (kings size beds are available)
one sink

IN THE MIDDLE
The Pepper Market is either a love it or hate it place. We love it but some folks just don't care for it.

Convention resort - some guests don't like seeing other guests at work. Doesn't bother us and helps keep the buses empty. GF, Cont, BW, Y & B Club are also convention resorts.

My first trip to WDW was in 1998 with my seven year old son. Having only been to Disneyland we were beyond excited. We arrived in Florida really late and checked into the Caribbean Beach and it was like checking into a nightmare (as they say on TOT). The room was dirty, literally dirt could be found where the wall and floor met! The sheets felt like sandpaper and the beds felt so small! As soon as I woke up at 6:00 am I called the Coronado and told them how horrified I was and without skipping a beat, they had a room for me and said we could move over right then. So at 6:30 we were dressed and in our new room at CSR. It is so nice and clean, the food court is great and location is convienent. I highly recommend it. :cool1:

We LOVED CSR! It's really a Deluxe Lite resort. The Dig Site & Pepper Market are fantastic, the transporation was great, the service & CM's were friendly & efficient. I highly recommend it.

Sorry to hear about your experience. CSR was brand new in 1998. Since that time both resorts have undergone a rehab.

Hey MandaPerry we'll be there too! Oct 4-12th! LOVE this resort too! We love the lay out and the pool, the grounds are beautiful, and an early morning run
is a great way to start your day!!!!! :wave2: can't wait :hourglass

Have to agree with all the above statements in that I also love CSR and think it is a beautiful and fun resort to be at. As for the food court, this is a hit or a miss depending on your feelings - some people love it and others don't like it at all. Personally, I liked the food court and felt it had more options than any other food court at a resort on Disney property - you just have to get used to handing the food preparer a ticket to stamp at each station you get food from and then paying 10% gratuity as servers do bring you drinks to your table. As for closeness to other parks, the only park that is a further drive away is MK (maybe 10 minutes away from CSR). Both Epcot and MGM are only a mile or mile and a half up the road (easy 5 minute drive to each) and AK is maybe 3 miles in the opposite direction.

The rooms are very nice with the most comfortable beds that I've slept in on Disney property. The pool and slide and wonderful and they have the largest and really hot Hot tub on property. Some people complain about the walk around the Lake but I think it's a great walk. The resort is very relaxing. Enjoy.

This is all true. I loved the Animal Kingdom Lodge, it is so unique and the rooms are larger than most. However, it is not always the most affordable choice! I think that the few dollars more CSR is compared to the values (pop/all star) is worth it. Some don't like CSR because it is considered a "convention" hotel, but I agree with all of you that the amenities are just as nice as the others, maybe better. It is definitely a great choice within the moderate resorts. If you've never stayed there don't miss it!

I just booked a weeks stay at CSR for our 25th wedding anniversay!! We were going to go on a cruise but thought Disney would be more fun and staying at CSR will make us feel as if we went to Cozumel! Thanks for all the info.

I don't think you will regret it. If you are planning on hitting the theme parks hard, you won't be spending a lot of time at the hotel. However, it is a really nice place to return to. Everything is laid out in a way that is easy to access and is lush and green. It is very quiet, unless you are facing the big pool. I would recommend not facing the big pool, I think there is an adult pool, that one will be more quiet. You can call WDW reservations and request a certain view. Also, all buildings are three stories with outdoor hallways. Request a third floor room (no one above you) and a corner room is a bit bigger and will offer a better view (more windows). If you call the resort directly 24 hrs prior to departure to reiterate those requests, they are usually good at honoring them You will have a fantastic time!! :goodvibes

We were at CSR last month. We really enjoy it. The grounds are very pretty. I don't care for the Pepper Market too much. The food is fine, I just don't like the way it is set up. I would recommend CSR to anyone. :paw: :paw:

Thanks for the additional room info. Will definately try to get a corner room away from the big pool. Is there one particular area over the other that is preferred? They all look really nice but probably would like to be in a quiet area. We are going the week of Feb. 25th. My birthday is the 26th and our anniversary if the 27th. Does anyone know if this is a crowded time of year. I don't guess it matters because I really want to be on this trip on our anniversary date but I am curious. I am also surprising DH with a Petty driving experience! Can't wait!! :)

Scooby check out Buzz's thread it is awesome! My family and I are going in November and I can't wait have a great time! :flower:

we will be there oct 4-12 and have reservations at ASMu. I am thinking about switching to a moderate bc we will have alot of time to spend at the pool. I remember how much my children loved the slide at POFQ.
My only concern is that I will be by myself w the 2 children(6 and 8( w/o a car) I booked the AS bc they were the only hotel (value or mod) that had a preferred room available).
CSR will only take requests they will not promise a location. Will there be alot of walking from the bus stop-room: pool-room?
I am mostly converned about coming back back after MNNSHP.
Thanks
Valerie

CSR is fairly spread out. All the resorts only take requests, not a guaranteed location. CSR is a beautiful resort. :flower:

We will be staying at CSR Sept 9-11th and I can't wait. Does any one know anything about rooms with king size beds? Are they available and what are the chances of getting one?

There are 60 king bed rooms spread throughout the 3 villages.

CSR is awesome! The have beautiful grounds and theming, the best pool and food court at WDW and great buses-frequent and often less crowded sue to conventions. Highly recommend! :sunny:
