Coronado vs Caribbean Beach

We just got home from a csr and cbr split stay this morning.
We will never stay at cbr again! We missed Coronado and would have had a better time if we did cbr first then upgraded to coronado, instead the last few days of vacay was a downgrade :-/ but we split the stay to figure out what resorts we prefer...it worked ;-)

I would love to hear more! What specifically did you like more about CSR than Caribbean Beach? We just returned from Caribbean Beach and won't go back anytime soon but we are thinking of trying CSR so just curious to hear your comparison!

What is it about CSR that many seem to prefer over CBR? We have not stayed at either but have visited both, dining etc. and found we liked the grounds around the buildings much better at CBR. We will be staying at CBR on our next trip and most reviews are very positive.

CSR is a better adult resort, in my opinion. If you have small kids, CBR gets the nod for the water play area.

The room seemed more run down, ours in particular did not have a working ceiling fan and the ac never cooled properly. It didn't feel as clean and the buses were much more crowded. Csr's food was better and the main pool and hot tub are much bigger and a lot less crowded. We couldn't even get a chair at cbr's main pool so we went back to a quiet pool. The atmosphere at Coronado is beautiful and relaxed.

I've stayed at both, and I much prefer CSR. CBR is so much larger, and the 7 bus stops are a giant pain in the rear when going to/from the parks. Makes for a lot of time spent on the bus. CSR in contrast has some of the best busing at WDW, due to how many guests are not using the buses. I also didn't care at all for the food court at CBR.

Also, with as large as CBR is I wouldn't book it again without paying for a preferred room. And that adds another $50 a night to the cost. CSR is not quite as large, and has a place by the themed pool to refill mugs and whatnot.

We went to CBR last year and are going again in August. We loved it. It's a beautiful and relaxing resort and the rooms are nice and updated. I don't know how people could talk about it like it's a bad resort. It really is beautiful.

Just returned from cbr and thought it was beautiful.
It was the same cost as csr for us-and as we required an adapted disabled room-our only option!

The choices available in the foodcourt are amazing.
The grounds are well kept and gorgeous.
Our only negatives were the cobbles in the foodcourt area were difficult to manoeuvre wheelchair on.

Csr is our next resort stay & getting psyched reading all these positives...

I don't believe there's such a thing as a bad Disney resort.
There maybe bad experiences at any resort-value through to deluxe .
It's often simply down to personal preference.
