Coronado Springs

I haven't been to the CSR yet, but the only thing I can say is most of the customer service reps I spoke with say it is a "Deluxe" resort with a moderate price. Yes Buzz, you are correct. I don't think anyone can list a Disney resort that there are not complaints or problems.

We just checked out of there this morning. We were in Cabanas 8B, a corner room, close to the car, laundry, and quiet pool. A quick walk to the food court and to the dig site. The kids loved the pool there. We all loved Pepper Market. The food we had was wonderful. I am going to miss the quesidillas and fajitas. My kids ate really well there. It is an expensive food court, but being on the meal plan, it did not matter. The kids loved it, and dh and I would stay there again. We were also close to the bus stop, but we had a car, and drove to the parks. It was a quick drive everywhere, the location was really good.

Buzz...thank you for all the advice during my planning stage.
You're welcome! Welcome back and glad you enjoyed your stay!

I just got back from CSR yesterday. I absolutely loved it. The theming couldn't have been any better. I loved walking around the resort in the morning. We stayed in Cabanas 9B. Although I thought the casitas and ranchos were much prettier, I loved our location. We were close to both El Centro and the Dig Site. I thought the bus service was excellent. We never had to stand and we never waited longer than 5 minutes.

That's great DisKim! Glad you enjoyed your stay!! Welcome back!!

Hurray!! People are finally starting to enjoy CSR. We have been staying there since it opened (actually stayed there the week it opened) and since then I have read only negative things about this resort (except from Buzz, go Buzz, go Buzz) and my family could never figure out why. It is our favorite moderate and I have told many people many times that I feel it is more of a deluxe with a mod's pricing. It is awesome and I am soooo happy for all of you who have finally discovered it.

Maybe everyone wants to keep it the best kept secret in disney!...LOL. I hope so, I stay there in NOVEMBER!

So, we are going in October on a grand gathering. My parents are paying for most of this trip for my siblings, their children, and my family....we have many children :grouphug:. Some of my family, and I mean even some of my children :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsboy:, are staying at the AKL. They have nicely griped a couple of times because they want to stay at CS :). We have never stayed there, but have read up on it alot. Buzz, I was going to ask for cabanas 8B. When you mentioned the mad dash from MGM, did you mean coming or going? Any hints? We really want to get to Epcot early one morning to be sure to ride Soarin, and get FP for it. Busses go directly to EPCOT, correct? Any hints are greatly appreciated. We are beyond excited :earboy2:!

Cabana 8b is a nice location. Any of the cabanas are. Just remember 9a is smoking optional.

Mad dash to the bus occurs after Fantasmic! But it is not only for CSR. It is everyone including guests that drove. The stores stay open so if you're not in a hurry, you could hang back and wait for the rush to end.

Yes, there is a direct bus to Epcot.

Buzz, Which Cabanas are "NON-SMOKING"?
I prefer to go with non-smoking if possible. Thanks

I'm heading there in 24 days for my second stay at CSR. I tried it in 2001 on the recommendation of a very nice cm at CRO and certainly didn't regret it at all!

Can't wait to get back.

We loved teh Pepper Market and teh pool area and the hot tub were second to none on property. The rooms were very large and very comfortable the bus service was great and the decor was incredible. We stayed a week in 98 on our 3 week 3 resort honeymoon at WDW and it is by far one of our favourite resorts next to the All Stars. We prefer CSR even to many of our DVC resorts we have.

Welcome to the club!! :cool1:

I've read about bus stop #2 actually being the 1st stop on the way out of the resort, as opposed to bus stop #1 being last. Wondering why they numbered them if that's the case.. sure seems confusing to me, lol.
ok, so here's my situation and question. We will be going in Oct and taking my 80 y/o mom who will be in a wheelchair. (It's the first visit to this resort and I can't wait!) We don't want to wait very long to get on a bus, (although she can transfer if necessary), so wondered if we should be requesting to be near bus stop #2 in order to be sure to be able to get on most easily. (if in fact #2 is the first to take on passengers) My sil, who made the reservations for all of us, (we'll be a grand gathering), thought that bus stop#1 meant 1st, so requested a room near it.
Any help here from someone that actually knows? Any bus drivers that can confirm? Where's Tyler? lol Wonder if he knows?

Theme park buses go:
bus stop 2 - Casitas
3 - Ranchos
4 - Cabanas
1 - El Centro

Downtown Disney buses, as well as Park Exit buses go:
bus stop 1 - El Centro
2 - Casitas
3 - Ranchos
4 - Cabanas

CSR buses go in this order so that guests can hop on board a theme park bus and take it to the main building. They can then hop on a DTD bus to get back to their rooms. This was a popular way to get to and from your room for those that didn't want to walk before CSR initiated the new internal shuttle system.
