We are staying at the Coronado Springs Resort can anyone suggested which part of this resort is the best? We are staying in a standard room. When I called Disney the lady on the line suggested Cabana area. I'm not afraid to walk as I can see this is a big resort. I think I would just like to be near a pool for our family's down time.

If you want to be near the main pool "The Dig Site", Ranchos buildings are the best. Otherwise, all sections have their own "quiet" pools.

If I have to choose between the quiet pools which one do you recommend?

I really like the one in the Casitas section. Ask for building #4. That will put you right next to the quiet pool and fairly close to the main building. Plus there is a bus stop right behind that building.

What's the "nicest" section is subjective, I think the beachy area in the Cabanas looks the nicest. The quiet pools looked pretty much the same to me, they're just a standard pool. Casitas 4 or 5 is a great area (we were in 5), you're right next to Bus Stop 2 which picks up and lets off first around the resort. Not super close to the main pool, which is a lot of fun, but it's really only a 3-4 minute walk. And you have pretty scenery on the way :) Ranchos is next to Bus Stop 3, which picks up next, and you're right next to the main pool, The Dig Site. So basically I don't think you can go wrong!

The quiet pool outside Casitas 4 is much larger than the other two. Probably twice the size. We stayed in Casitas 4 one trip and never bothered with the main pool because it was big enough with plenty of lounging chairs.

The Cabanas area would put you close to the Digsite (main pool) and also has a quiet pool in front of Cabanas 9A.

Another good location in Ranchos 7B, which has its own quiet pool and is 2 min walk to Digsite.

If you don't care about the main pool I would request Casitas 4.

We stayed in Cabanas 8B and Ranchos 7B. I liked the look of Cabanas better but Ranchos was lovely also. When we stayed in Ranchos they upgraded us at check in to a water view and our second floor room looked right out over the quiet pool. It was just that - very quiet. Short walk to the Dig Site from either location. A little longer walk to the Lobby/Pepper Market from Ranchos, but still not too bad. The resort is beautiful so we didn't really mind strolling around.

Also as others have stated, Yes the one by the Casitas is a very nice pool, plus as stated, near a bus top, but also right there is the Gym/Spa, and also the Laundry facilities too...This was very convenient...When I stayed in Casitas 4...

But if I had to choose now, Aesthetically I definitely would go for Ranchos. The main pool is awesome, and no quiet pool could come even close to this one. Plus it has the food options now over there which comes in handy too.:thumbsup2

And I forgot to mention this place has THE BEST Bus service out of any Resort IMHO...Hands down...

We stayed in Casitas last time, and although it was fairly quiet and near the bus stop and quiet pool, we were on one of the upper floors and it just felt like another hotel to us. No complaints, it just wasn't for us. The time before that we stayed in Ranchos and we loved it. It was close to the dig site pool and very quiet. It is a bit of a walk to dining etc., but the scenery is gorgeous, and it didn't take all that long to get there. Maybe 10 minutes with the kids dawdling lol.

If staying in a standard room, we always request Casitas 4. As pp's said, it is convenient to almost everything! and not far from everything else.

Cabanas 9B is business class which provides a continental breakfast, snacks and beverages (higher rate per night). Casitas 1, 2 & 3 are preferred or suites.

Ranchos are furthest from the main building, but closest to the awesome themed pool.

CSR has the best moderate pool and a large hot tub.

I saw a snake in April. It slithered right in front of me while walking to the dig site pool. Freaked me out a little!

If you don't mind walking to the main pool. I'd recommend Casitas 4 too. It's got the best bus stop. It's as close to the main building you can get without paying a preferred rate. There is a quiet pool right outside your door. At night you can also look across the water and see the dig site and it looks very nice. The only downside is the walk to the dig site.

We were in Cabanas 9A and thought it was great. Not a bad walk to the main pool or main building. The walk goes along a beach area with hammocks. I used the quiet pool one afternoon & there was no one else in it. I guess the bus stop was a little ways across the parking lot, but it didn't bother us.

That would freak me out too. I read a review online that they loved the resort minus the snakes. So my way of thinking well how many snakes are we talking about..Lol
