Coronado Springs Room Request Help

We made our ressies last nite for CSR in July. Its my wife's birthday and she would like a water view room. Our last stay at CSR we were in Casitas 1, loved the central location!

We need help making our water view room request. Looking at the Map it appears that Casitas 3A and 3C and Cabana 9E would be good for us based on their proximity to El Cnetro and views of the lake.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated espcially from you BUZZ

Casita 3 and 5 have great waterviews. There is no such building as casita 3a or 3c or cabana 9e.

We stayed in Casitas 5 this past September (and hope to be in the same building this September). We had a great view of the Lake and a hammock right outside our door only steps away to boot.

Lil; i was looking at this map http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/cspringsmap.htm and it shows buildings with letter designations for the various sections of each building , it this out of date?

Correct, the DIS map is incorrect, there are no letters attached to the casita buildings, at least for reservation sake.

Depending on what you want to be close to, here are some good building choices.

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. Most convenient location and most preferred.

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool)

Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool and is also a smoking optional building.

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Casita 1 is attached to the main building and is very close to the restaurants.

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool.

Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building.

Make your room request as soon as you make your reservation. It’s never too early.

Thanks for the advice on buildings. We usually stay at POFQ b/c of it being small, but decided to try something new this time. I read somewhere that the pool slide was going to be closed in April. Does anyone know if this is true? Also, I read that the buses do not pick up for transportation to the parks from El Centro. Is this right? Sorry for the ?'s, but I don't know much about this resort! Thanks!!!!

They do pick up from the main building. That's where most people wait.

Slide is scheduled to be closed for April 2008.

The bus does pick up outside the main building (bus stop #1).

Thank you for the info as well! I was about to post something similar. One other question, which of the buildings should I request for the closest/most convenient "standard" room -- we aren't booked for a preferred room. Thank you!

Just make you request based on what you like. You could end up in any of the buildings because all of them have standard and waterview rooms. CSR does not have "preferred" locations.

oooooh ok! That makes sense! I'm used to staying at the Values - and being in the waaaaaaaaay back with a standard room. Thanks for your help!
