Coronado Springs Rix Lounge Wedding

Hey everyone,
Does anyone have any information about weddings at Coronado Springs Rix Lounge or are there any disbrides who got married there? I have read all the info on the Rix Lounge website and left a voicemail with the event co-ordinator, but I wondered if anyone else had any extra information? I called a week ago and called again today and I've heard nothing so far. I have a ton of questions!

I have yet to see a wedding there but from the pics I've seen online it looks like an amazing venue!

I looked into having a wedding here and found out that there is a $2000 food and beverage minimum in addition to a $1000 ceremony fee. The place is amazing but i tried contacting them numerous times and when i finally heard back from someone in regards to my questions (that had nothing to do with food) they sent me their catering menu via email, although i asked for a call back. The last part of the email said to call if i have questions Needless to say, i was so annoyed that I didn't want to have my wedding there anymore.

Wow, I'm really sorry to hear that! What have you decided to do? (If you don't mind me asking?) I was aware of the minimums but as we were originally looking at the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando, Coronado Springs seemed to work out cheaper for our guest count even with the minimums. I admit that when I tried to contact them, I used details I found on the Rix Lounge website and got nowhere. When I looked back at the site, it said it was last updated in Aug 2010 or something like that so it was really out of date. After calling around using several numbers unrelated to weddings and events, other members of staff put me through to the event co-ordinator. I took her details and she has been very helpful and prompt in answering all my questions and responding to me

We decided to go with the swan and dolphin for our wedding. I love the location and the price is a definite plus. Im glad that you have been able to have your questions answered by them and that u had a much better experience than i did. I do LOVE the lounge itself so i am sure the wedding will be amazing

You know, I told myself I would start a PJ when we got to our one year mark (which was this past Thursday), but due to work, etc I just have not had the time. Okay so I just started my planning journal a few hours ago! there is a link in my signature! I feel the same way that I have gotten so many ideas from other brides on here that I just want to share mine and see if they help someone as well.
