This resort looks interesting and it is the same price as CBR. Can I get some input?? ::MickeyMo

We have stayed there several times. The resort is very nice, but very large. We learned to request the Casitas. The mayan pool is fantanstic and the food court is fun. The draw back is that this resort tend to get a lot of conventions.

This is a great resort! I would love to go back, if I could just kick my Deluxe habit...

Pros: Beautiful, especially at night. Great pool with fun slide and huge hot tub. Dedicated bus system--no sharing with other resorts.

Cons: Very spread out--potential for lots of walking. Some people aren't crazy about their casual restaurant. The food is very good, but they charge an automatic 10% gratuity for having someone refill your drink. Conventioneers--this doesn't bother me, but some people are bothered by the presence of convention attendees.

All in all, I would stay again in a heartbeat. This is a really great resort!

Love it! It's my favorite of the moderate resorts - and I like it better than a few of the deluxe resorts we have stayed at, too. Great atmosphere, great transportation, awesome food court and pool - just generallly great! :cheer2:

I really like it and my sister loves it cause the buses seem less crowded. She thinks its becasue there are so many conventioneers that dont go to the parks

Love, love, love this resort, it's so pretty, wandering trails, awesome pools, great hot tub, water slide in main pool, great food, southwest style rooms, very nice! :Pinkbounc

Ok you guys are really starting to sell me on this resort. But now let me ask you this. How is it compared to CBR? Right now I am stuck choosing between these 2 resorts. ::MickeyMo

They are both large resorts but I think CSR has a better layout and definitely a better pool. The transportation is great too.

Buzz2001,

I just visited your website and thought it was great. Very infomative. I just wondered why you have never eaten at the Mayan Grill yet? I would think that since you are such a fan of the resort (and it does look beautiful) you would have tried the main restaurant there. Just wondering!

I have stayed at both resorts and we like CBR better. CSR does have a better pool but wasn't a big fan of the food court at CSR.

We've stayed at both in the last two years. It's tough to decide on which on we like better, but I think I would go with CSR. The buses are less crowded, the food court, even though a little more in price, has a much larger selection and Maya Grill has a great breakfest buffet for only about 10 bucks, larger and more modern pool (CBR pool is old and shows it). Both are large resorts, but I think CSR is more managable. CBR rooms have been recently renovated and look great and the CM's there are the best we've had at any disney resort.

Just remember, which ever one you don't stay at on this trip, you can stay at on your next.

We stayed at CBR one time wont do it again. The bus transportation was terrible and the rooms were in need of rehab. I would suggest CSR.

I'm totally biased. I absolutely love the Coronado Springs check out my signature. There is nothing that we do not like about the CSR. All of the cast members there are awesome.

We used to be Cabana freaks until two years ago we had to say in the Casitas, now you cannot pry us away from the Casitats. We prefer the CSR over the Caribbean Beach, our family just did not like the CBR at all.
Here are a few pictures to take a look at:

Kimickey - I was happy to read your post. My family didn't like CBR either yet wants to try CSR. I am very worried that we won't like CSR, thinking it is very similar to CBR. I hope I end up loving it too. Deep down I'm a PO fan.

Will never go back to CBR for many reasons. We don't think they were the same unless you count the lake & water sports and some sand. The CSR should be called a deluxe/moderate. We did not find it spread out, only a few minutes anywhere we went (and the walk was quite enjoyable), transportation was great, we enjoyed the food and there is no comparison in the pool amenity. The entire family enjoys this resort!

We also love POR - have stayed 4x and will go back anytime. I just think this newest moderate has taken it up a notch.

I just can't stop going to the Pepper Market. We love it. I'll be back in April so I'll definitely have to give it a try. I heard that the breakfast buffet is great too.

We just booked CSR for Oct 15-23. What are the odds of getting the section you request. We wanted two double beds, but none were available for our dates, so we took king. My guess is that there is convention at that time.
