Just booked our second Disney vacation and we are staying at Coronado Springs. Can anyone tell me what there experience was at this resort? Likes and dislikes. Advice.

We absolutely loved it during our stay in October. Beautiful grounds, the rooms had been renovated somewhat recently, the Dig Site (pool) was a ton of fun, good food experience at the Pepper Market, and the bus service was spectacular. We would definitely go back except next time we'd like to try a Deluxe (the Contemporary).

It's my favorite moderate. Very good pool. Many bus stops, so you don't need to trek to a bus stop. No complaints. Hope you love it.

I always avoided CSR because it didn't seem to appeal to us. We went to CBR once and didn't like it. POR and POFQ were our beloved Moderate resorts. But after many years I was trying to expand our Disney experience, so last fall we booked CSR for 2 nights, after a stay at Ft Wilderness Cabins (both new Moderate resorts for our family).

We loved both resorts! And we're returning to both this September. Staying at CSR for a longer time. We got a preferred room in Casitas 3. It was about $15 more per night. (don't confuse with the business class preferred rooms which are at Cabanas 9B, with the lite food offerings at $50 per night addl'.)

Casitas 1 - 2 - 3 are closest to the Main Bldg and there are covered walkways all the way there. It happened to rain quite a bit during our stay, so the roof overhead was a blessing. There was a pool next door at Casitas 4 - 5 (not the main pool, but large and uncrowded). Food court was good. Cafe Rix take-out place (opens before the food court, open all day, and open past food court close) was handy for snacks, refills. The Main Bldg was really beautiful to walk thru, and had wide aisles (probably because of convention traffic).

CSR was definitely more adult in theming and decorative taste, and it was beautiful and relaxing. Buses seemed less crowded, and some people think this is because so many staying there are at convention meetings and not going to the parks. Overall, we can't wait to return.

It's very pretty at night and the kids liked the pool and arcade. Room was pretty, too. Overall, though, we just didn't care for it. Just the "feel" of it. It didn't feel like "home." And we had to walk quite a bit just to get drink refills and we weren't in the most remote section (we were in Cabanas). We have stayed at Wilderness Lodge, Port Orleans French Quarter and Pop Century. We would stay at any of those again before we went back to CSR. Don't let my experience deter you though. You may love it.

Our favorite moderate resort is POR, but stayed at CSR on trip last month because it was cheaper. We liked it. Pretty groundskeeping, nice pool, plenty of buses, plenty of parking, rooms were fine. Our only complaint was the food court, the one time we went there (Sunday at 1:30pm) it was not busy, but took forever because everyone working there seemed to be in extreme slow motion. Give me the POR food court any day.

We absolutely LOVE CSR!!!! It is so beautiful to stroll around Lago Dorado at night! The Casitas 4 building is our favourite standard view room to book. we really like the location. It isn't too far to the main building and is very convenient to the bus stop that usually picks up and drops off first. The pool are and hot tub are awesome! We like the food in the Maya Grille and the Pepper Market. The bus service that we experienced has always been very good - little waiting and efficient.

If you are able to spend the extra $$$ there is a business class option in Cabanas 9B which is also a great location. These rooms include a light breakfast and some snacks/drinks.

You will love the CSR!!! Enjoy your great choice!

We stayed at CSR 4 or 5 years ago and really liked it. Our room was right next to the quiet pool. It was like having our own personal pool. There was hardly ever anyone there.

While our favorite mod is POFQ - CSR is a very close second. It is a beautiful resort, and my kids loved the pool and waterslide. They also have a huge hot tub - bigger than I've seen at any of the other resorts. They also have hammocks along the lake, which is really nice. The rooms are very nice, and like a previous poster, we had a room right above a quiet pool, and always had it to ourselves. We did not care for the Pepper Market food court though.

We stayed at CSR in May 2012 and had a great time. The resort itself is beautiful and was very quiet. It was overall a really nice place to go. I agree with the PP about not caring about the Pepper Market.

Disney has changed the pricing structure and now preferred rooms at the moderates are around $50 a night more than those standard view rooms.

I just returned from Coronado a few days ago. It was a wonderful hotel, very quiet which was what we were looking for. We had a preferred room in Casitas 2. Our rooms were very clean, even if the bathroom looked like the decor needed updating. We never made it to the main pool but the quiet pool nearby was enough for our one time mid-day dip. However, I wish they would clean the quiet pool a little more often. We passed by it quite a bit and there was always leaves floating about. Not enough to make it nasty but enough to be a bother.

The main reason I absolutely loved this hotel was the bus service. A+. We only had one bad busride to/from Coronado the entire trip. Cafe Rix was very convenient and we grabbed snacks from there and Panchitos often. We only ate at Pepper Market once but I would not recommend the eggs for breakfast. Everything else tasted pretty good.

We also had a very nice surprise that same night of the one bad bus ride. We were walking through the parking lot back to our rooms and we could see Magic Kingdom Fireworks going off. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone looking for some peace and quiet when you return from a hectic park day.

It's a great resort with bad food is what I'm mostly getting and that something I can deal with...:)...We might only eat breakfast at the resort and we have dining reservation at the parks & other hotels. Hopefully breakfast is decent.

We love Coronado Springs! It's really a beautiful resort. Yes, you will see people there who aren't "on vacation" but are attending conferences, but it has never detracted from my experience at Coronado. While the theme is not "cartoonish", it is very well done. The main pool is amazing, and the quiet pools are very nice for a quick dip. The hot tub is also wonderful on the tired muscles after a few days in the parks. Food is hit or miss, but I've had some great meals there. Bus service is the best I've ever had at a Disney resort, although I have admittedly never stayed at a Deluxe resort. Hope you enjoy your trip!

I found the food to be good, it just took a long time to get that food.:headache:

it is one of my favorite Moderate resorts on property next to Port Orleans - French Quarter. Everything about CSR is great with the exception of the Pepper Market (Food Court) that just seems to lack in service and food quality. I have experienced this more than once there and in fact one night with a group of 8 people 3 of our group discovered their chicken was half raw when they cut into it. Disney promptly comped the entire table but for whatever the reason this Diney venue just seems to always have an issue. The other dining options are excellent at this resort.

This was our experinece, the food was just as good as any of the other QS restaurants we ate at all week, but it was slow to get. We did not eat breakfast though, we at that in the business class lounge.
