:lmao::lmao::lmao: I hear you! I have a package that is on it's way to me from DisneyStore (had to get DH a new Grumpy shirt for our trip), and it is coming UPS.

RATS!!! I just ordered and am having it shipped to CSR for our arrival in 2 weeks and the shipping info on this thread say that if it is UPS they will charge me for it at the resort.

Has anyone shipped from the Disneystore to the resort, if so...did you have to pay?

Hi Everyone!

We are super excited to be heading back to CSR in 2 months. This will be our second stay at CSR and we are so looking forward to it! Now I just have to figure out what building I am going to request this year. Two years ago we stayed in Cabanas 8A which was very close to the Dig site pool and bus stop but this year I would like to stay in the Casitas. I am just concerned that we will be too far from the Dig Site pool! Oh what to do?!?!:confused3

Well, your only options are Casitas 4 or 5 (unless you paid for a preferred room). I do not find the walk from either 4 or 5 to be too bad to the main pool -- seven to eight minutes depending on how fast you walk and how many pictures you stop to take along the path. ;)

KatMark! How have you been? You are one of the main reasons why I came to CSR the first time 2 years ago and look I am coming back again! I am glad to see you are still around, helping people with their vacations.

We paid for a waterview room....does that count??

Thanks! Yes, I'm still chugging along with the thread. :)

There are some GREAT waterviews in Casitas 4 and 5--the quiet pool and the Lake.

I was looking at the menu there for the pool bar and did not see anything on a "kids menu". If we are on the dining plan will they let us use a kids quick service credit and get a hamburger or hot dog?

Also, does anyone have any suggestions on best places to eat with kids? Our son is 8 and am nervous about the variety he will have to choose from and wondering about portion sizes as well. He almost eats as much as I do....and does like other things than cheeseburger/chicken nuggets everyday!

We are doing the QS dining plan.

Thank you,
Cal Rhyne :)

Did you get the FD package or are you paying for the DDP? Reason why I ask is my DS10 didn't like any of the things on the kids meals, so I paid extra for him to have an adult DDP on our trip when he was 8. His age for tickets was still 8, but I was able to get him the adult DDP.

If you have the FD package and he doesn't like the items on the DDP, there are quite a few QS places that serve other items.

Could someone clarify the Pepper Market procedures for me....like Pepper Market For Dummies? OK--I get you show up, get cards from the cashier(ask for a to-go if you are not eating there inside), then?? do you get a table then order then???do you get your own food and bring back to the table or does the waitress bring to your table by using a number or ??? The waitress gets refills and napkins??I am very confused and would love a step by step for dummies explaination:teeth:

Also--Anyone have experience with food allergies at the Pepper Market? DD(10) is allergic to eggs, peanuts, tree nuts...and now soy(yay!...) Are they good about allergies or no? I realize CSR has an outside food service which makes me a little concerned. I know WDW food service is great and so is the food service at the Swalphin. TIA:goodvibes

FYI--I am planning on a full court BEGGING *IF* we can get a FD pin or general FD for the last week of Oct so I need to be armed and ready when DH starts dropping those bombs. Need to be able to deflect each and every missile mid-air so that he will be convinced that CSR will be doable for a vacation to WDW on the "cheap"--which of course is relative.....

Yes, they will.

You crack me up -- Pepper Market for Dummies. Okay, here we go.

You enter the Pepper Market and stop at the Hostess Stand. They will bring you to a table with real silverware and napkin and put down a card on the table for each person in the party. Your server will come to the table and explain if you have any questions and take your drink order; the server will stamp the card(s) with soft drink, milk, juice--whatever the drink order was. Then you will go to the station where you want to order your food (grill station, salad station, deli station, Mexican station, etc.) and place your order. Your food will be made fresh while byou are waiting at the station. Once your food is prepared (or while it is being prepared), they will stamp your card with what you ordered. The same process applies when you are ready to go and get your dessert. Once you are all done eating, you take all the cards to the cash register and pay as you leave. It really is very simple. What I like about it best is that the food is cooked fresh.

As for allergies, I have never had to deal with this issue. However, I have read of others who have and have had no issues at all and that the chefs were most helpful.

I hope this eases your mind a little. Feel free to ask any other questions or PM if you want.

Thanks Katmark! I am assuming then that one person can take multiple cards for ordering? Like Dh could take my card with him to order my food and I could take the girls' cards to make their orders. Yes? With to-go orders, do they bag it up for you with plasticware or do you need to go to a condiment station for bags and plasticware? And...if you have refillable mugs, does the waitress fill for you or do you just go to a refill station on your own?

I will ask about allergy experiences maybe on the DISabilities board. Thx:goodvibes

I'd like the answer to the to-go orders(and the refill mugs)too. We are eating lunch at the PM when we arrive, and after being in an airplane for 2 hours, fresh air would be wonderful!

Are you saying that unless you pay for a preferred room you will end up in the Casitas?:confused3

Also, does anyone know if they are going to charge me for the package i am having delivered from Disney shopping? If so, how much??:)

I can't wait to stay at CSR. I am wondering if I should be requesting something specific for our rooms.

No, Casitas 1, 2 and 3 are preferred locations. Casitas 4 and 5, Ranchos 6A, 6B, 7A and 7B, and Cabanas 8A, 8B, 9A and 9B are standard/waterview/king rooms.

Yes, one person can take multiple cards; they simply must be stamped at whichever station is appropriate.

For to-go orders, you go to a condiment station for bags and plasticware.

If you're eating in, your server will refill your refillable mug. If you're doing to-go, you can go to the coffee stand at the Pepper Market (on the right as you walk in) and have it refilled, or go to the refill station at Cafe Rix and refill them yourself.

Thanks; I'm crazed at work and missed her post. :)

Thanks for the info! I think we would do lots of carry out. Those outdoor tables around the lake look so inviting :goodvibes
