Now that the new 'preferred' locations have been marked off where would y'all recommend I try for? We have just a regular standard room at the beginning of March - we will likely hit the hot tub but depending on weather being close to it or the pool won't be a concern! I love the look of the fountains and don't really mind a walk to the bus stop since we're both late 20's (I almost would feel bad taking a 'good' spot from people with kids!!)

For young ones like you, I'd go with Casitas 4 or 5 -- both beautiful spots. And me, at age 50+, walks to the main pool from there in just about eight minutes or so (and that is where the hot tub is).

Mickey Mail arrived at our travel agent's office today!! My mom is going to be picking it up after work. It's nice to think about the vacation right now after we got a couple inches of snow yesterday and no travel is advised tomorrow due to forecasters expecting us to get more snow along with blowing and drifting.

Also,I believe I asked this before, but does anyone know if all the room windows have individual panes or are there some rooms that just have one big pane?

Kathy, do you (or anyone else) know if the new room pricing structure will be just Preferred and Standard, or will it be Preferred, Water View, and Standard with King beds thrown in there somewhere, too? Thanks in advance!

You will be able to book by: Standard, King Standard, Waterview Stand, Preferred, King Preferred and Water Preferred.

Hi, CSR DISers:wave:

I recently added-on 3 days up front to our WL stay. Got a great AP rate of $142/night.

Our first stay at CSR was way back in May of 1998 when I was pregnant with DD who is now 12 and will be staying at CSR for the first time. This is the request I was going to place in our reservation, what do you guys think?

~Casitas
~Top floor/Corner room

I didn't want to specify a building number in hopes it would increase our chances of getting a top floor, which is very important to me. (I can't handle hearing a "stampede" above me:sad2:).

Also, which do you guys prefer for breakfast:

CR, PM or MG?

We don't eat much breakfast at the CSR. I wasn't overly impressed with PM's breakfast omelet, but the waffles are good. They changed Maya Grill from a buffet to an ala carte about a year ago and we've not been there since the change. We've never done Cafe Rix for breakfast. As I said, we don't eat much breakfast at CSR. We either do a buffet (Crystal Palace, Boma, Cape May or we just grab a bagel and/or cereal).

We've not had our first snow--YET!

If I remember correctly, it is one big window with no panes (truthfully, I don't pay much attention to the windows because we aren't in the room much and I always have the sheers closed.

Pepper Market still as good as ever?

We've never had a really bad meal at the PM. We had dinner there in September and had the rotissere chicken (I know that is spelled wrong but I'm doing this as I'm getting ready to leave work for the day) and it was REALLY, REALLY good, as were our desserts.

I know elsewhere in this thread it has been asked if there was free wi-fi at CSR. I also know that there is wired ethernet in the rooms available for 9.95/day.

My question is whether wi-fi exists in the rooms for purchase?

My family just purchased an iPad which does not have an ethernet port. I know I could buy an Airport Express base station and route the ethernet cable through it...It just would be nice to avoid the extra expense, etc.

WiFi is not available in the rooms through Disney.

You could bring a wireless router with you and hook it up to the ethernet connection for the $9.95 per day and then you'd have your own wifi set-up.

I *think* there is WiFi in the common areas, but I think it is for convention guests and you need an access code?

Thanks. I need to buy the router anyway, so this is a good excuse to go back to the Apple Store!

Pepper Market still as good as ever?

It was awful when we were there last month. They ran out of salsa one day, the whole resort had no salsa, and it's a Mexican themed resort. The servers were completely inexperienced. Bottom line, the food was terrible.

We were there last month as well and had no issues. The food was good, friendly and helpful staff, quick service and clean. We always got our food to go and ate outside. We had breakfast several mornings and dinner one night. We had 8 adults in our party, several picky eaters and we all had good experiences. ;)

We had friends visit us at the resort and all ate at the Pepper Market- 8 total, four adults, four kids. None are picky eaters. None finished our food. All of us had different entrees. We all agreed it was awful. YMMV. Check out reviews at other sites-- Tripadvisor, etc.

Question: My mom and I plan on going to WWOHP our first full day in Florida while my dad and brother are golfing. Which type of transportation do you recommend taking from CSR to Universal Studios, right now I'm leaning towards Mears since the cost round trip for the two of us is almost equal to the taxi going one way, in other words taxi would be double compared to Mears for round trip.

Whatever you use, get there before rope drop or you will be waiting in line forever, considering your vacation dates. If you get there early, wait at the rope, and jog it over to the ride, you can get right on with little or no wait. Look at the Universal board for other tips. I would get express passes, too, for the other rides. Universal is bound to be crowded.

Honestly, there's no going by reviews... It's your own personal preferrence.

Our family LOVED Pepper Market in September!! I found the staff to be attentive, very friendly, the food quick & fresh & tasty. And the chefs at each station were very accomodating! I was worried because I kept reading bad reviews - lol - but it was great!

On the other hand, I read a lot of good reviews for Spirit of Aloha. And we felt it was a waste of 2 TS credits!! The food was fine... but the show, well, it was cheesy and with 2 kids that were bored by it - I wish we had used the 2 TS credits elsewhere!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of the CSR followers, posters, lurkers. I hope you have a wonderful holiday with your loved ones.
