That's strange. :confused3. There was a little box for "special requests" - I think you had to click on it to open the option. It said something like "we try to honor, but these are just requests" and you could pick up to 2.

I would think even a preferred room would give you the option to pick ground floor or request a crib.

Nope. Not for me. There was a free-form text box on mine where you could type in text, but no check boxes etc. I just figured that the preferred rooms had no options. Ah well. We booked preferred because we wanted the Casitas and there really isn't anything else we want/need.

I have requested Casitas but did not pay for preferred. What do you think our chances are for getting Casitas? Ranchos and Cabanas don't look fun to me and Ranchos is so far from the main building.

How is the arcade there? We like to play the games for tickets to get prizes. Do they have a lot of those types of games?

Thanks

Can anyone tell me what the current mug pattern is?

I don't want to start an argument on reusing mugs, but if they are the same I will take them with for the 2 we have, and buy the other 2 their own.

Just curious, but why not? :confused3

Not sure if credit card info is stored on the card or not. When the key to the world is read that info is passed insecurely. I see the potential for thieves to have a heyday. Until I know more I'm not going to risk it.

Does anyone know if Coronado Springs could possible be including more rooms in the free dining promotion? Is there even a chance that someone could change their reservation and a room with free dining could open up? Should I just check every day?

Thanks!

I'd check back every day if I were you. We just switched from Pop to CS with free dining for the end of November. So excited! I've never stepped foot on this property but it looks wonderful :goodvibes

I've searched several pages but can't go through all 190+ (sorry), so my question is:

Can you use QS dining credits for the breakfast and lunch buffets at pepper market? tia :)

Yes, all meals at Pepper Market qualify as a quick service credit. Those buffets are one of the best quick service deals at WDW!

I think the latest info is that the current mugs are the one with the characters by the pool. They have black, pink, or blue (and maybe another color??) tops.

NOT to encourage such egregious behavior as reusing mugs... :rotfl:

Maybe my questions got lost at the bottom of the last page? Can anyone offer any advice?

I keep going back and forth between CSR and renting points at BWV for next year, BWV would be slightly more expensive but I'm actually more drawn to CSR even though it's "only" a moderate. The rooms look great, everybody raves about the beds, the pool is huge and has a hot tub, the grounds are just gorgeous. Everything except the reliance on buses seems practically deluxe level to me.

I don't think Casitas buildings 4 and 5 are preferred rooms, so there's definitely a chance you could get Casitas by booking a standard room. If you haven't already, it couldn't help to note your request on your reservation and if you do online check in, you can always select your request there too.

I imagine there aren't a lot of requests for Ranchos, so maybe people who don't request anything or don't have a preference are assigned Rachos, although I'm sure it depends a lot on how booked the resort is, check ins, check outs etc.

And if you check in and you aren't happy with your room location, it never hurts to nicely ask if anything else is available. If might mean you have to wait a little longer for something to open up, but it might be worth it.

Sorry - not sure about the arcade! We'll be there this weekend, so I can check it out and report back :)

The arcade is at the main pool area, but I don't remember there being alot of ticket type games, if any. We don't spend much time at arcades at WDW if I can help it at all.

They did have alot of that at the BW arcade.

As far as casitas go, 4 and 5 aren't preferred so you can request them. But the walk to the main building is as long or longer than from the cabana buildings.

Checking in early Sunday and spending the day at the pool. Assuming our room is not ready, where is the best/most convenient place to change into our bathing suits?

Also, I've read that you can refill your mugs at Siesta's by the main pool - does anyone know if it's self service or do they fill it for you?

Thanks!

You can change in the locker rooms at the main pool and they fill the mugs for you at Siestas.

Perfect! Thanks!

One more quick question...I just noticed a picture of a room with a desk rather than a table/chairs. Do all of the rooms have desks now? We planned to have the kids eat breakfast in the room, but one chair might make it a little difficult!

There are bath/shower/changing rooms located next to the arcade/around the corner from siesta's. They refill your mug for you, just remove the lid and tell them what you want!:)

We're booked for January 24-31, 2013! So excited and looking forward to a stay at CSR!

Does anyone know if there are many rooms in the Ranchos sections that fall under the "Water View - King" category? The architecture of the Ranchos sections looks awesome...but it doesn't seem like there's much water to look at. TIA

Don't know about the "king" room, but the only water view at ranchos is the quiet pool I believe.
