Across from El Centro...

Other than the pool bar issue... CSR is the perfect resort IMO

The bar by the lake is outside the main building.food court area. They also have a night club style lounge that is rated the best at WDW that is open until late every night. They have alcohol for sale at Panchitos you can take to the hot tub.

I'm not sure it does close that early. In any case, the bar at Rix Lounge stays open late.

I thought they closed at 7pm but it may change depending on the season. I do know they have to close one hour before the lifeguards go off duty.

Thanks everyone for the info. Will Rix Lounge put the drinks in To Go cups so we can enjoy them at the hot tub?

I believe there is a cooler with Mickey bars in Panchitos by the cooler that holds the beer, soda, juice and milk.

Yes there is!

Also soft serve ice cream at the Pepper Market that was gluten free and lactose free the last time I was there in early June.

If you are place in 9B, do you automatically have lounge access.

Or it is possible to be a leisure guest in 9B without lounge access ?

I just read this in today's All Ears newsletter:

Sammy Duvall's Watersports is testing a new operation at Coronado Springs Resort. "La Marina" offers paddle-boarding and wakeboard/tubing behind a jet ski. Reservations for now through January 1, 2013 can be made at reservations@sammyduvall.com or by phone at 407-939-1653. Hours are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. through Labor Day, then 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. through New Year's.

Yes. Otherwise, having a convention at your resort is a good thing. They aren't riding the busses or swimming in the pools etc since they're busy "conventioning". I wouldn't sweat it. Enjoy your stay. :)

We just stayed at CSR 7/7-7/13 (Cabanas 9B Ground floor rooms...loved it). However, there were like 500 Brazilian & Argentinian teen dancers there...and they were indeed "conventioning", but they were doing it everywhere: Cafe Rix, Pepper Market (every night at like 10:00), the lobby, the pools, Panchitos, Disney buses, all theme parks...thousands of them from other Disney resorts!! It was unbelievable seeing thousands of teen girls all wearing the same colored shirts & backpacks...EVERYWHERE! Anyway, they definitely affected our time at CSR in a negative way...Still had a magical time though!! :)

If anyone has any questions about CSR or any of the 4 main parks...fire away!! Oh BTW, my profile photo is of Cabanas 9B from the marina dock...Beautiful!!

I don't have enough posts to reply to your message....SO:

Hi Shanna - No we didn't have club lounge access...but our Cabanas 9B rooms were great! Ground floor around back with beautiful mini-lagoon views!

If you're unhappy there because of conventions they will move you to another moderate resort if you want; they offered this to us but we decided to stay...and I'm really glad that we did!!

You'll be happy there no matter what!! I promise ;)

John

I was just wondering, does anyone think or know if the Tony Horton Fitness Weekend would affect CSR that week much? Just wondering how man people are going and if this is going to change anything around the resort.

love the picture, it is absolutely gorgeous!! I cannot wait to stay here for my honeymoon :) Just about a month away. Good for you for being able to deal with the teen girls! I work at a family restaurant and Friday nights dealing with a few teens dropped off by their parents can get to me! ;)

Does anyone have or know where to find updated menus for Laguna and CSR room service? The ones on allears are quite outdated. TIA

I'll be staying at CSR next month for my first time (I've only stayed off property and at ASMu) and I am so happy to come across this thread. I think I will either be requesting Cabanas or Casitas, probably calling tomorrow to do so. I think we put something in as a special request, but in the off chance we didn't I'll cover myself.

Which do you think if better for myself and best friend? We are both in our 20s and don't need perfectly quiet areas, but would like some quiet (we had a family next to use as ASMu last year and there were screaming kids up at 6am). We would like to be near the main pool, but also bus stops. Both areas look great from the pics in this thread.
