ok jut got back today from a 5 night stay at CSR and if i do not write now, I will forget what I want to write.

1. We received our 3rd choic of room. we were in Caistas 5, and I have to say I was VERy happy with this choice. We were stop #2 which was the first stop to be picked up and the 1st one dropped off. With a 10 yr old and a 6 yr old this was very nice. As for the buses, we didnt wait more then 5 minutes from the hotel to the park and no more then 10 minutes from the parks back to the hotel.

2. The hotel....wow what a BIG hotel. We were treated like royality from when we checked in. They aswered every question that we had and never once did they shy us away. The staff there was incredible.

3. The dig site. Now my 2 boys absolutely loved the dig site. The site was closed for one afternoon because someone got sick in it and we had to goto the quiet pool. but that day the quiet pool wasnt quiet and some of the guests were not happy that so many people were using that pool, but honestly it wasnt that loud that day.

4. The pepper market and Maya Grill. We ate at each place only once each. I honestly can say i was more impressed with the pepper market. The kids loved the idea of the ticket and going up to get the food. and the food was very good. As for Maya Grill, while it wasnt bad, i would have liked a better selection. The food was fresh and good though.

I think thats it. The whole family loved CSR and we will definately be going back....hopefully soon.

Brian, welcome back. Thank you so much for your review. I am so HAPPY to hear that your family loved the CSR.

From the four resorts we've stayed at (All Star Sports, Contemporary, Poly and the CSR), the CSR has by far had the friendliest and most helpful of CM's.

Will you be posting any pictures?

Thanks for the review!!

I requested Cabanas 8B, 8A, 9A, or Casistas 4 or 5. That's a pretty broad request, and I wonder where we'll be. As long as we're not too far from a bus stop, that would be good.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the resort!

We just returned from our 1st stay at CSR. We were there August 16 – August 18. We checked in at around 10 am and our room was ready. There was a short line to check in but a huge line for online check in. We were maybe 3rd in line when a CM came to escort us to one of the concierge lines where we were taken care of right away. I had requested the Casitas section and was granted that wish. We ended up in Casitas 2 room 2160, I think. It was a nice location, near the gym, salon and quiet pool. We were also steps away from the bus stop. We weren’t too far from anything. We enjoyed this resort and would consider it again. It was absolutely beautiful and we received good service for the short time we were there.

We started our day off at the Pepper Market. We browsed for a bit and I decided on chicken quesadillas which were delicious and my son decided on a hamburger and fries which he also enjoyed. I apparently didn’t pay attention to where you are to order/pick up your food and the guy on the grill wasn’t shy about letting me know that I was completely wrong. We spent the day and night at the Magic Kingdom, always lots of fun! I started the next day at Maya Grill for breakfast. I was surprised that you could get in there without a reservation since it was the start of free dining. The restaurant was empty! I had pancakes with a side of bacon. The service was good as was the food.

We didn’t find either pool terribly crowded but we preferred the Dig Site which was so cool. I enjoyed being in the water since it was 200 degrees when we were there. LOL!!

I wanted to thank everyone on the thread for all the helpful hints, pictures and trip reports. I hope I can do the same for someone else. If you have any questions please just ask away. And yes, I am one of the people who don’t know how to upload pictures. I snapped a few but nothing we haven’t seen before. Go ahead and laugh away…

Thanks for the review!

I have a question. Did you use ME? If so, did you stop at other resorts on the way to CSR? TIA!

we're going on 11th sept :rotfl: not long yet
its asking a lot but does anybody know some snack & breakfast items from the shop (panchito's) and their prices??
we're trying to find the prices for:
some crisps/chips, dorito's + cheetos prices preferably?
please list ANY breakfast cereal available to buy + their prices?
what brand the boxes of doughnuts are + their prices?
and if anyone knows whats drinks they sell + their prices?

If anyone can answer any of these questions it will be appreciated :worship:

Hi,
Thanks for all the information! We are first-timers to Disney - 2 adults and a 5 yr old girl and are staying for 5 days and will use the dig site/pool may be a couple of times during our stay. I am absolutely confused about the room requests - would just like it near a bus stop. I haven't called or faxed for a particular room request yet (and we are checking in this Friday!!).

Can anyone please tell me which area is a absolute no-no?

Thanks!

All of the areas are really nice and none are a far walk to the bus stop. Some do not like the Ranchos section because it is the farthest away from El Centro- the main building. We don't mind it because the walk is so beautiful.

Thank you!! I guess we will take our chances and see what they give us! Can't wait to experience the Disney Magic!!!

We just stayed in Ranchos 7B pool view room second floor. It was a quick 5 min walk to the dig site pool. We never walked to the main building though and never had time to walk around the resort! I wish we took time though because it is a beautiful resort. We loved our location and had no issues. We will definately stay again some day!

We used ME last week and it said it was stopping at CSR and AKL and Kidani Village. It went to CSR first so it was a quick trip from the airport, maybe 30 minutes. It only went to CSR on the way back to the airport.

Thanks! I like being the 1st ME stop! :goodvibes I guess it could change, maybe adding Pop to the mix, but either way we'll get there OK.

Happy thought: We'll be at WDW in 14 days!!!! :woohoo:
Sad thought: Our trip will be over in 24 days. :headache:
:lmao:

Well, I had intended to post a quick mini-review here about our recent trip which ended yesterday. However, I was hornswaggled.

Hornswaggled, I say. I was expecting to stay at CSR this past week, however, it was not to be. My wife changed our reservation to the Contempoary, without my knowledge. About 4 months ago!

So, sorry, guys n' gals. No review of CSR from me. I can say that the best meal we had all week was at Maya Grill. Beating out Le Cellier, but that was mostly becuase our children were better behaved at Maya, than they were at LeCellier.

Hi everyone, we just returned on 8/22 from our trip, which was a 2 night stay at YC and a 7 night stay at CSR. We also stayed at CSR for an eight night trip back in March. That was our first ever stay at CSR, and we fell in love with it.

Most everything went very smoothly. We stayed in Casitas 5, which was one of my requests. I requested either Casitas 3,4, or 5. Last trip we stayed in Bldg. 3. One major thing was that I wanted to be at bus stop 2, since it is the first to be picked up and dropped off.

Our room was on the 3rd floor and we had a partial water view and a view of a court yard with a pretty fountain. We paid for a standard room. So, I was very pleased with the partial water view! Mousekeeping was fine. We came back swimming in the afternoon for quite a few of the days. So, we had a nice relaxing time at the Dig Site Pool. We also enjoyed the Casitas Quiet Pool one of the days.

Bus service was also good. No big complaints at all with the buses.

The Pepper Market was good, and we enjoyed nightly The Rix Lounge on two of the nights after we returned from the parks for a drink.

The only issue we had was that there was painting going on for Bldg. 5. There were large cranes they used for the exterior parts of the building that they were painting. There was also numerous workers around the hallways that they were painting. They also had several of the walkways blocked off while they were painting. We noticed a strong paint smell when we were walking to the room, but luckily not in the room itself. This went on during our entire stay. I did ask to speak to a manager, just because I wanted to let her know that we should have at least been advised of this when we checked in. She did offer to move us, but since we were already settled in and unpacked we decided to stay in our room, since we did not smell the paint in the room. We also were not in the mood to pack everything up again to move, especially since we did that from our split stay at the YC two days before this.

The manager was very nice and did agree that we should have been told this upon check in. She actually did a few nice things for us, which I did not expect. I was very happy with how she handled the situation, especially since I was not looking for anything in return, just to let them know we should have been advised at check in.

CSR is still my favorite moderate! I will hopefully post some pics soon. :goodvibes

Well, now you just have to plan ANOTHER trip so that you can stay at the CSR. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

What a nice surprise by your wife.
