I have a bit of a dilemma folks. I'm in the uk and the costume I really want is only available in the USA and they won't ship over here.

Is there any way i can order an item online and have it shipped to CSR or is that not possible until I have a room number? I thought about ordering it the day we depart on next day delivery or something

I believe you can ship it to the resort and have the resort hold it for you. The question will be timing because I think you will be charged for them to hold it for you if you haven't checked into the resort yet.

I see you will be at CSR during the same time we will be. :) Maybe we will run into each other.

I have ordered shoes to POFQ because I knew they would not be delivered before I left for vacation. I had them come with with attn: guest my name then the resort and their address. They came in the day after I got there and they just called me and told me I had a package I could pick up at the concierge desk. I am sure CSR gets packages all the time for guests.

Just got back yesterday and had a wonderful time! We really enjoyed the resort. Had a split stay with the Contemporary. Didn't care much for the rooms at the Contemporary except for the MK view from our room! It was breath taking awesome! My son spent 4 afternoons in the pool and just loved the slide! It was nice to have the snack bar so close to refill mugs too! Our room was in Ranchos and it wasn't that far to walk to the Dig Site. I didn't try to walk to the food court though we drove twice. Since we had deluxe dining and all our meals planned we never ate in the food court area only one breakfast pastry at Cafe Rix. I'll definately book a return trip! Loved the Queen size beds too!

Welcome back. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay at the CSR. And that your son loved the pool and slide. :goodvibes Did you guys by any chance see "Ally" during your stay?

Katmark- thank you so much for the warm welcome!

Glad you enjoyed your trip! slightly ot, did you find it difficult to experience DxDP w/ a little guy and staying at a mod? Did you feel like you spent all your time travelling from ressie to ressie? Just wondering b/c we're considering it for our next trip, but not sure how it would work w/ DD.

So we can fill our mugs at the "snack bar"? Is that at the pool area/dig site??

Yes, Siesta's is the pool bar/snack area and you can refill your drinks there. The hours are something like 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (I'll try to confirm those hours when I'm there in less than a month).

Wow! It's getting close for you!:cool1: Glad to know about the extra re-fill location!! Thanks!!

I have read about some of the rooms becoming preferred locations starting in January. I have a ressie for a water view room Jan. 17. How do I get me one of those preferred rooms??
Do you think they will "open up" these rooms Jan 1, and do you think I would be able to apply some of my "water view upgrade" to help defer the cost of the "preferred status"?? I hope I'm making sense!!!:rotfl:

We will be staying at Coronado for the first time. We have a three year old and nine year old. We would like to be close to the dig site, and bus stop. Which area is the best for requesting for standard room? Thank you!:surfweb:

I think you will either have to pay for "water" or "preferred" unless they decide to offer a "preferred water view". The change is supposed to take effect January 1; they won't announce the buildings until closer to that date.

If you don't mind not be close to the main building, I would ask for Ranchos 7A or 7B or Cabanas 8A. There is a bus stop in each section (Ranchos, Casitas, Cabanas and main building).

Didn't see Ally at all during the week at CSR. We did see one in the Lake while taking a bus back from DHS.

I'm just too excited to stand it! 18 days and counting until our 1st time at CSR for 12 glorious nights:banana:

I have already started packing and spent the weekend shopping for all those last minute vacation things you always need. I think I have just about everything!

I was wondering if the on-line check made a difference for getting a request or not. I really want Casitas 3 and I didn't know if we are better off doing in-person check in. We are driving all night to get there so we will arrive around 7am. Is it okay at check-in to tell them we will wait for a room in Casitas 3? We were planning on just walking around CSR and going to DTD for breakfast until 10 then going to the waterpark until our room is ready so we aren't in a real hurry.

We did online check in and we did not get our room requests at all! We were not dissapointed though. We were in Ranchos and I wanted Cabanas 8 or 9 with a 1st floor room. We got Ranchos 2nd floor.

I apologize if this has been asked and answered, but with over 100 pages I don't have it in me to search...:surfweb:

I am trying to price this resort online and I keep getting a Jr suite King with no other options...all the queen rooms can't possibly be booked for Oct 2011 already, could they? Anyone able to give me some pointers, or do I have to call to get a CM to override the room selection? Thanks guys!!!

This is somewhat my fear, I do not want to be in the ranchos because the only time we will ever go to the Dig Site is to see it during a walk or something. I think I may skip the online check in process. I just hope it is okay to ask them at check in if we can wait for something in Casitas 3. I really want to be in a good location since we are staying so long.

We just came back. I did the online check in. It went quick but I didn't get exactly what I wanted. I wanted building 4 ground floor. I got building 4 second floor. If I knew that they closed the quiet pool at 9pm (yes 9pm!)I would never have requested that building. Security would come by the quiet pool and kick people out. The main pool which was open till midnight but it was a long (I mean LONG) hike to the opposite side of the lake. Get a room in a building by the main pool if you plan on a late night swim after a long hot day in the parks.

I wasn't impressed the The Pepper Market. We ate 2 meals there and it seemed very disorganized. There weren't any lines in front of the food areas. One morning while while trying to order an omelet there much have been 15 people bunched in front of the order/pick up area and most the timethey had one person taking orders, cooking and then giving the order to you to take back to your table where you have a server bringing your drinks and expecting a tip on top of the 10% service charge. States on the card they give you to get stamps for your meal that gratuities are not included and a 10% service charge will be added to total bill.

I don't think I would go back.

If there is a convention booked for the time you are looking for, they could have rooms blocked. I would try calling or switching your dates by a day and see what happens.

We did online check in last September. We had asked for Cabanas 9A or 9B and we got Cabanas 9A (and we checked in at midnight). However, we have never had a long wait doing the regular check in so I would just wait until you get there.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay at the CSR. We've stayed in Casita 4 on four occasions and it has never taken me more than seven minutes to walk to the main pool. However, if you have little ones, I suppose it could be a longer walk. The Pepper Market has always had a love/hate relationship. We've always enjoyed it--we enjoy having our food freshly made rather than getting it from under a heat lamp. But again, it is not for everyone. That's what is so great about Disney -- there is a resort that fits everyones likes, needs, etc. (for instance, you couldn't pay us to stay at a value or the Grand Floridian or the Wilderness Lodge).

I'm glad you gave it a try and hope the next resort you choose is more to your liking. :)
