Here now. Great experience at Pepper Market for dinner. Received a room Casitas 4... First floor just like we asked... Have a parking lot view... But we can see the bus stop from our window... More in TR when we get back... Thanks again for all your help KatMark... Love the resort...

We are leaving in 4 days and I would love info on room locations and the best area to request for my family.

We drive, so being close to a bus stop is not important. My family consists of me, DH, DD7, DD5, DS2. Also, being close to the pool is of no interest this trip, way too cold to be thinking of going swimming!!! A room close to the lobby would be a plus, but mainly I'm interested in the area that is most visually appealing.

TIA!!

Hello all and thank you to LaurieN for confirming that the tip is NOT included on the DDP anymore, seems a shame that they have changed the way that the Pepper Market works.

we ate there December 4 and they did not charge us extra for that, it was included, we paid nothing except for the tip we gave the waitress because she was funny and gave great service.

It is certainly nice to have a queen beds but the room was designed for a king or 2 doubles. We found that the person sleeping on the side by the wall essentially got out of bed into the wall. Not anything really bad but I would not want to be startled out of sleep and jump up into the wall. I guess the space is about 14 inches. The other bed, closest to door, has a similar problem with about 3 feet of wall extending out.

I noticed that with the other bed, which my mom and dad had....my mom had a tight squeeze getting up at night to go to the bathroom but she was so happy to have a queen bed that she was fine with it (and luckily there were no incidents). I had the bed closest to the wall where the air-conditioning controls are and I never felt squished. The area where the wall extended out by my bed was where my head and neck were and I dont get up from up there so I never had a problem with that. Not saying I dont agree with you about the space being made for double beds and not queens, but for being able to have a queen bed I was happy to deal with the less space. The beds were super comfortable too. I was very happy with our room, so I hate it for you that you were disappointed. :(

mom2LLN: as the most visually appealing room, it would depend on what you liked. To me the courtyards in the casitas section were the most visually appealing. I thought they were all gorgeous especially with the vegitation they chose and the water features. Loved it!

We just got back last week from a great 12 day vacation staying at Coronado Springs for the first time. I have to say we were very impressed. We absolutely loved this resort and would go back in a heartbeat. The service was outstanding. We stayed in the Casitas in the section overlooking the courtyard that has the Lion fountain. The remodeled rooms were beautiful and the bed was more comfortable then our bed at home lol. The pool was just stunning although we never got a chance to use the water slide.
The food at the Pepper Market was good for counter service and the portions were excellent I did not expect so much food from it. The only complaint we had about the entire resort was how disorganized the Pepper Market was and complicated they made it. But we still had a great time and didn't let it bother us.
We went to Rix lounge and it was amazing. I had a Strawberry Daquiri and it is the best one I have ever drank. We also had a "shot" I can't remember what it was called but it was blue and reminded me of blue Kool Aid, but it was more the size of a drink then a shot which we found funny lol.
We just loved Coronado.

I am so happy your requests were met! And even more happy that you are loving CSR.

Thanks for the mini review. I am thrilled beyond all that you loved your stay at the CSR and fell in love it as we have (now you see why we keep going back :) ). If you have time, please post some pictures.

And to everyone else, i got a very nice surprise in the mail today--a Christmas card from "The Cast of Disney's Coronado Springs Resort." It made my day. :)

Great review, glad you enjoyed CSR. Casistas is where we stayed last time and where we are hoping to get again when we go in August 10.
As you ate at the Pepper Market, were you on the Dining Plan and did you have to pay a tip?

I ask as I have seen conflicting answers to this question and would like to see what the consensus is.

Just got back on Friday night from a 9 day stay at CSR. I plan on doing a day by day trip review complete with dining once I have time. I will post the link once I do. I can say that there is no place like Disney World for the holidays!!

I am delighted that you had a great week at the CSR and that you enjoyed your stay. You brightened my evening. :)

Beautiful picture, 9 days to go.:santa:

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::sick:

Almost forgot to ask you guys! I didnt realize it until our last night but you can see fireworks from somewhere at CSR. By the time I got to the lake from Casitas 3, all I could see was the leftover smoke in the sky. I'm assuming it was from epcot? Or do they do fireworks during Fantasmic at DHS?

I just learned that the Dig Site pool will be closed for rehab from January 11 - January 31. At this time, the hot tub, playground and Siesta's will also be closed. The quiet pools will be open.

Which buildings at CSR have the beaches on the lake? We are thinking of changing from CBR to CSR and my daughter was loving the beaches at CBR and I wanted to request a building with something similar.

The Cabanas section has the beach area.

We're back home & CSR was spectacular yet again. So happy that we were in the Cabanas #8B, #8671 to be exact. LOVED our room and location!
So happy with the CM's, Pepper Marker (BIG thumbs up!) and we were lucky enough to have 80 degree days this past week. Can't tell you how much we loved it all.

Kat, we'll get the pics up ASAP
:goodvibes
