oooo.....Now I am concerned about the buses. We usually get a rental car but had decided to use the Disney transportation. Now I am not sure after reading this post.:confused3:scared:

Please don't let my 1 experience cause you to worry. We were waiting for the bus around 3:45 in the afternoon to hit MK after taking a break so we likely just hit it at a bad time where they probably don't run as much or something. Also, for every park except MK, we saw 2 and 3 buses for every location during our wait so I would say that our limited experience is not the norm. We are going to use the buses tomorrow all day so even though that one time was disappointing...it will not keep us from using them again and definitely shouldn't keep you!

About the front desk, I suspect the people next door got a call or visit because we left our room tonight for dinner and girl next door was standing outside for her every 15 min smoke and she said, "Don't worry, we will be gone tomorrow". I said, "Ok, have a great evening" and kept walking. So I'm guessing they knew we called on them. We just got back from dinner and I could see where they all decided to put their cigarettes out on the freshly painted wall leaving multiple big black marks...grrrr rude people!

I didn't know (or forgot!) about all the calls going to the call center. I will have to remember that!

I hope everyone arriving soon has a safe trip...the weather, resorts and parks are all beautiful!!!

How absolutely rude and ignorant. We can't blame the CSR for rude people--I have a feeling they are rude wherever they go or do.

I hope these ignorant jerks have not ruined your entire stay at CSR.

Gosh...I feel bad if I'm in the smoking area and a non smoker walks by. Unfortunately, there are badly mannered people everywhere. I do love that you took the high road and just said "Thanks, and have a great evening" In that case you didn't let someone ruin your time or your vacation. That's great and I commend you ! :thumbsup2

I have a quick question. I have paid for water view, are any of the first floor rooms in the cabanas close enough to the pool area so that my husband and I can sit outside and enjoy each others company after the little ones are asleep. I hate to be cooped up in a hotel room trying not to wake them up, but am really looking forward to spending a little time with my hubby, but do not want to be more than a few feet from the room either. Thanks

There are no rooms close to the Dig Site, but there is a quiet pool near Cabana 9A. I can't remember how close the first floor rooms are to the cabanas quiet pool, but if you look at the quiet pool pictures on the first page of this thread, you can see rooms near the Ranchos quiet pool and the casitas quiet pool (the cabanas quiet pool picture shows the laundry, I think, instead of the room buildings). The cabanas quiet pool is probably set up similarly, but I can't remember for sure.

A water view at CSR may be a view of the lake, pools or fountains (in casitas), so you can have a water view in cabanas but not overlook the quiet pool.

Just a reminder to everyone as Kathy gets ready for her trip :goodvibes:

If this thread reaches 248 pages while Kathy is gone (it will close at 250 pages), I will set up a temporary CSR FAQ page so we can talk about her while she is gone. ;) We'll continue to post here until it gets closed, but that will give Kathy some time when she gets back to get the new thread set up and still give people a place to ask questions and do the happy dance. I'll link to the new thread when we get close to shutting this one down, and it will be titled CSR TEMPORARY FAQ THREAD or something like that so we can all find it.

Thanks!

I hope you guys have lots of fun here while I'm gone, I hope we gets lots of great reviews of CSR and I hope everyone who has an upcoming vacation has a wonderful and magical time. And I'm looking forward to seeing some of you at the DIS Meet on the 18th or 19th. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Enjoy your trip Kathy! Haven't posted here in a while, but been reading right along. Make sure your special hammock gets good use while you're there. I wish you safe travels and wonderful weather.:goodvibes

That took my breath away. How dare they deface my CSR! Maybe this group needs to find a new place to have their convention. Disney seems like an odd choice for this bunch and I see they have it booked the same time next year.

Thank you.

Have a great trip! Thank you for doing such a great job with the thread. We will be there Memorial Day week 2011. It looks like there are no conventions scheduled then but would you mind checking? It won't change our minds about where to stay but it will prepare us. Thanks!!!:worship:

Hello we just stayed in Cabana 8A Labor Day week which is the closest building to main pool but there wasnt any where near 8A where you could sit outside and still be close enough to the room. I dont remember any where to sit outside. Here is a photo of the front waterview side of 8A

We were in 8A then moved to 9A because of a smoker in the group who wanted closer to a smoking area. We were in room 9150 9A and it was right on the corner close to the quiet pool, they had table and chairs around the pool area. That would be the only place I could think of.

Hello I dont know when you are going to WDW but we were there during Labor Day week this month and it was the fastest bus servcice I have ever had while being a Disney and we have stayed at ASM,POR, and WL. We never hardly had to wait at all. The longest we waited was 10 minutes and that was only about one or two times. When we would get to the bus stop to go to the park it seemed as soon as we sat down to wait our bus would pull up and got to the parks quick. On the way back to the resort from the parks there was almost always a bus waiting to take us back as soon we got to the bus stop.

Thank you.

Kathy: Leaving for CSR tomorrow. Will try to make it to the meet this year. Last year we didn't, although we did share our photopass so I imagine you saw we were very busy!

I loved reading all the information on this thread. We leave for CSR tomorrow night and should arrive very early Saturday morning. I will try to stop by one of the meets - where is everyone going to gather?

Can't wait for Disney!

We are meeting at the pool, near Siesta's (the outdoor bar) at 2:00 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Hope you can join us.

Thanks to all of you. Can't believe at this time tomorrow we'll be at CSR.

Kathy (and everyone else leaving in the next few days) HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!!!!

Kathy could you please try to find out where the preferred rooms will be? From posts it sounds like the only rooms that will be standard are the Ranchos or maybe the Ranchos and Casitas 4 and 5.
