We are trying to plan a short Disney trip in July. To save a little money we are looking at the moderate and value resorts. With a five year old daughter who loves to swim a pool with a waterslide suitable for her and some good dining options are fairly important.

We really like the Caribbean Beach Resort and Coronado Springs Resort so far but are getting dizzy with all the construction updates. It is hard for us to tell how much the construction would impact are stay in July.

Do you have a recommendation for one over the other? Or is there another moderate or value Resort we should be looking more closely at that has a good pool area and kid friendly slide with decent food options?

Thanks for all your help. We are hoping to be there 5 days. We may still end up doing Animal Kingdom or Polynesian since we enjoyed those in the past but at least for now we are trying to save some money on the lodging.

I would stay away from both CSR and CBR, with all of the construction going on. How about POFQ? POFQ has a fairly new kids splash area. And the dragon water slide would be perfect for your daughter.

Plus, you can always use the pool at POR if you get bored. POFQ and POR are sister resorts, so you are allowed to use the pool at both resorts.

Agree with a great pool for her option is at POFQ.
You also have POR next door for extra food options
AND the boat to Disney Springs which has dining galore.

If I had to choose between those two I would pick CSR. We've had several stays there and have always had a great experience. As long as the main pool and Pepper Market were open I wouldn't hesitate to stay there during construction. I've stayed once at CBR and wasn't a fan. I agree with the PPs though about POFQ being a good choice if you're worried about the construction.

I would definitely choose CSR, have stayed at CBR when nothing else was available and didn't enjoy the resort at all - it's my least favorite.

I really like CSR and would stay there even with the construction, no problem!

CSR has a wonderful themed pool and great quiet pools. I have had great bus transportation experiences, better than at the Deluxe's by far.
