Hey guys,

We are booked at CSR for Nov 21-30, 2010 for our honeymoon. Can I get some opinions on this resort? It was the most affordable for us during this period of time. Can you also suggest special things for us to do to have a magical honeymoon?

Thanks!

I have stayed here once and I loved it!! It is quieter than say, CBR, but a bit out of the way, so a few longer bus rides to the parks. I really enjoyed the themeing at this resort and loved the TS restaurant - Maya Grill. Hope you enjoy it!
Congratulations on your forthcoming wedding and Disneymoon!!

Thank you so much! We couldnt be more thrilled that we are spending our honeymoon at Disney. Thanks also for the info on the buses. I think we will spend only a few days in the parks. A majority of our time will be at the resort or doing other things like the carriage ride, boat rental, maybe even the Cirque show. These are things we have never had time to do before because we had to worry about lines in the parks.

What section of CSR should I request?

We stayed in the Cabanas section for over 2 weeks for our honeymoon. It was the perfect location close to bus stops the main building and a short walk to the main pool. We had a water view of the lake and one of the quiet pools. There is a spa on-site where you could get a massage and the main pool is great when not overrun by kids!

we stayed here on our original honeymoon trip and they upgraded our room to a water view and they also gave us a gift certificate for a free bottle of wine at the bar outside. When we went to get the wine, they did not have any but gave us free mixed drinks. They was nice to ejoy by the water.

I just got home last night and stayed at CSR. The only other resort I've stayed in was Port Orleans Riverside, but I liked CSR much better. It seemed more like a deluxe resort. The quiet pools are nice and the main pool is great at night after the kids are gone. There was also a ping pong table and volleyball court by the main pool. We were in Casitas (bldg 4) and it was a really short walk to the bus station and a nice short stroll to the main bldg with the lobby and restaurants. We walked around the Poly, Contemporary, and Grand Floridian, Saratoga Springs, and Boardwalk Villas on our visit, and I didn't see any reason to ever pay more to stay there (other than the monorail).

My fiance and I have stayed there twice... it's actually the only Disney resort I've stayed at. (That will change for our PORiverside wedding and Disneymoon!) Its quiet, HUGE, and gorgeous. The food is great (especially Pepper Market nachos, great on a rainy day), they have a nice big gift shop, and all the rooms are spacious and beautifully themed. My favorite part was my morning coffee walk around the lake while my fiance slept in. The first time we stayed in the Cabanas, which are close to El Centro (the main building), which was great. This past time we stayed in the Ranchos, which are across the lake from El Centro, but closer to the pool and spa. You'll love it there!

Thank you so much! I have never stayed on Disney property before. We wanted so bad to be able to get the animal Kingdom lodge but it was way over our budget and unavailable. We were engaged in July this year so I didnt start planning until late.

The comments from everyone on here helps me feel very secure about our decision.:worship::woohoo:
