My wife and I will be staying at CSR for Halloween week, standard room. Never stayed there before, but the casitas look the most appealing to us. Haven't made any room requests yet, but thinking that buildings 4 or 5 look best. Looking for a building kinda close to a bus stop but also kinda out of the way, away from throngs and noises. Not concerned with long walk to El Centro, more interested in a secluded room, any ideas or info? Thanks a lot!

We stayed in a Casita - standard view- a few weeks ago and I really liked it. The area pool at the Casitas is pretty big. The spa is also located in the Casita area.

We also stayed in the Cabanas on this trip, but I liked the Casitas better. We had a great view of the lagoon in the Cabanas, but didn't really look at it since we had the curtains closed. I keep telling my husband that a water view in the Moderates is kind of a waste of money to me. He is finally agreeing with me on it, too.

CSR isn't really a noisy resort. We stayed in casitas 5 on our first trip there. It is really nice and close to bus stop #2. You may want to look into the ranchos if you want to be secluded. Check out my CSR website below. Good luck and have a great trip!

ps - thanks ~Sparkly~Zoe

LOL Anytime. I have looked at your site many a time for a few of our trips and it helped me to make a decision to stay there! Thanks for keeping it up to date and you did a great job on it!

Casitas 4 and 5 are quite nice. Casita 4 is close to the quiet pool and health club/salon. I found the ranchos to be really quiet when I walked through there. It was like a ghost town.

The Casitas is a great section and I'm sure you will love it. My vote is for Casitas 2. It is tucked away a little bit and yet is close to El Centro and the main pool. We had a great ground floor location that was right near the Casitas quiet pool, laundry, salon, and health club. If you have a minute, please check out my review on CSR from this past summer--it has a lot more information on Casitas 2 and everything else about the resort. Hope it helps!

Thank you Buzz2001 for your website! Very helpful!! We'll be at CSR next June and in the Casitas because I'll be at a conference for part of the trip. Our kids will be with us and we'd like to be near a pool and the busstop. Would Casitas 2 be best? How do you get to the Dig Site? Do you walk around the lake or is there a bridge of some sort? I checked out the map, but was still a bit confused. Thanks for any input! We were considering moving to the S/D after the conference, but after reading how wonderful CSR is, I think we'll stay.

Hi Buckeye!

I know you asked for Buzz, but I can help out a little. I stayed in Casitas 2 last year and I loved the location. There is no bridge connecting to the dig site from here. You will have to head left around the lake for a short walk to the Dig Site. For more info on Casitas 2, please check out my resort review. There is a link in my previous post, right above yours. Hopefully it will answer some more of your questions.

Hey Gumdrop, thank you very, very much! Great info---trip's almost a year away and I can't wait already!!
