CSR is just a beautiful resort to photograph. Can't wait to get more shots of it in March! :cool2:

Does anyone know which specific themed area the pictured king bed rooms are located and if they are considered as preferred or the regular King Bed room? Just wondering so that I can specify this when I book! Thanks!

We stayed at CS the week after Thanksgiving 2011. We (family of 4) have stayed at a few different resorts through the years (including POR, ASR and AK). Without bashing CS, I have to say that it was my least favorite resort. I can't explain it, but agree with others when they say that it lacks the "disney vibe" that the others have. We had a Casitas corner room (by request) in bldg. 4 facing the parking lot and bus stop #2. The buses are the best we've stayed at thus far. They were very prompt and in close proximity to all parks in comparison to all the others. We never had to stand being so close to bs #2 and were always the first stop on our way back from the parks. Waiting for the bus from the parks was average....other than one bus leaving just as we were walking up (instead of waiting for us to board), I have no complaints. It was kind of a hike to El Centro so we didn't do that much. I found that walk itself is what lacked that "disney vibe" I mentioned before. It was beautiful though...can't say it wasn't. We walked to the pool once (and found it real nice), but didn't use it (it was a little cold the week we were there). I also found El Centro lacking the excitement that POR or CBR main areas ooze. Maybe it's because the marina isn't open or something else. When we were at El Centro, the outside seemed toned down quite a bit in comparison. I liked the Pepper Market. DH did not. He likes the typical food court set up. I didn't care and the food (we ate there once for breakfast and once for lunch) was excellent. The room was great. I liked the doors separating the vanity and sleeping area. The beds were much more comfortable than at POR. CMs were OK. I didn't have any exceptional experiences, nor any horrible ones either. The last few times we've been to Disney, I found the overall service from the CMs drop significantly. This time, we all found a change from this. We seemed to have great CMs no matter where we went in the world like the "old" days. All I can report about the resort itself is that I found everything I read about it to be true (except for any negative reports). I found nothing negative about it. It is beautiful and a cut above the other moderates in ammenities (buses and beds). But I also found it kind of "blah" for our taste. I'm not sure if that is because it is so big, because of the lack of action outside at El Centro (marina) or because of the overall theming. Would I recommend it? That depends on what you are looking for in Disney World....

We are planning a trip for late Jan early Feb 2013 and this thread has been a HUGE deciding factor for us. We are going to be with Me, Husband, MIL and two boys, 5 and 2. I think it will be GREAT for us. Cant wait to book!!

Love the pictures too, keep em coming!

We are getting ready to call to book our stay at the end of August (were requesting a corner room in the cabanas) but I wanted to ask a few questions first.
Does anyone have any pictures of the.kiddies pool? I was just curious if my younger dd would be to big (shes six and my oldest is 14)
Also will the Marina be open this summer?
Lastly what is your opinion on using the desk as a table considering there aren't any in the rooms?
thanks!:thumbsup2

My DD 12 wants to change from CBR to CSR. Can you direct me to the CSR 2012 thread?

Thanks

We just decided to upgrade from POP to CS and am so excited! love the pics and the mexican theming style! We had a travel agent do our booking and are getting a water view room, do we need to ask for a specific section too or are most of the water view rooms in excellant locations?
