My husband and I are planning on visiting Disney World in September (first time for both of us). We are planning on staying @ Corinado Springs Resort, any recos or warnings?:earsgirl:

I stayed there in February of this past year. I loved it!!! We are getting married in Disney next year and we will list the Coranado as one recommendation.

Decide what is more important, the pool or the food court. We chose the pool, then ask for a room next to either spot. It is a very spread out resort but it is so nice.

We did drive everywhere because we didn't want to wait for the bus.

Food was on the expensive side but the breakfast at the market was really cool. There were stations where you could go in and pick things ala carte. Even though we stayed close to the pool and it presented a bit of a walk to the food court, it was an enjoyable walk in the morning.

Have a wonderful time and try out the hammocks on the beach Eric kept falling alseep out there because it was so relaxing!

3 warnings
it's a large resort
it's a convention resort
it has a mexican / sw american theme

that said, my family and I love this resort. Check out my website below. CSR has great transportation, an awesome pool area and slide and a very good food court that is not your average food court.

Good luck deciding and have a great vacation!

You can't go wrong at CSR! DH and I loved it! It was very romantic and extremely beautiful. I don't think that you'll regret your choice.

There are many opinions on CSR, I suggest a search on this board to get the most information.

But be warned........

CSR is unique amoung guest in that the people that love, REALLY love it and the people that hate it, REALLY hate it. And you will find both sides on this board.

We went in May and found it to be a delightful and beautiful resort. Transprotation was good, pool was a blast and the food court although a little pricey was satisfactory. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, but I probably won't has I my new goal in life is to stay at every resort once.

It is a very nice resort, but it is very large. Depending on where your room is, you could be walking 2 minutes to the food court or pool to 10 minutes. But, it is a very beautiful resort. Also, from what I remember, it is very open, not much shade. But that could have just been where my room was. Have fun!

My husband and I stayed at Coronado Springs in December of 2000 and loved it. (It was my first trip to WDW) In fact, we got engaged sitting at the fountain outside of our room! There is one section, (Rancheros?), that is quite far from everything else (but they had a bus stop back there). Unless you want to be far away from it all, ask to stay in one of the 2 closer sections. The pool has great theming. We walked around the "lake" several times. There are many romantic spots. We very much enjoyed getting cereal/juice/milk at the little store outside the food court and eating breakfast outside before hitting the parks. We thought the food at the food court was good too. We had no problems with the transportation either. One other recommendation: Although we didn't eat at the restaurant there, Maya Grill, it has gotten pretty bad reviews. IMO save your "nice" meals for the parks and/or other resorts at WDW!

I hope you have a great trip!
