I know that you and Julie have a prefernce but I can't remember and I have a friend who is going to stay there.Anyone else have a fav let me know.
Thanks!
Jen

I like FQ. It is smaller, only 1 bus stop, less people at the pool & food court and Riverside is just a short walk away. Also they share busses and FQ is the first stop followed by the 4 at Riverside. I think it is nice to be first on, first off.

::yes::

I love POFQ. Corey, I know prefers Riverside, but I just thought it was was too big. It was so nice that nothing at POFQ is a hike. It's a short quick walk everywhere. Bus stop, pool, front desk, ect...plus I really liked the theme at POFQ better too.

From what I remember, Corey and Julie preferred Riverside. It was mentioned a few shows back. I think when Teresa started talking about planning her trip and staying there.

I am not a fan of New Orleans. At all. Never liked the place. Don't even like the food. I visited a relative there and continued to be unimpressed. Different strokes for different folks...I don't like New Orleans.

So, POR and POFQ were about last on my list of resorts at which I wanted to stay. But I had this wacky, "I have to stay at each Disney hotel" thing going on, so off I went. I did POR first, because it seemed the more appealing of the two.

I knew I'd hate POR. And I knew I'd hate POFQ a lot.

And I liked them both. Liked POFQ more than POR. I got a water view at each, but the one at POFQ was much prettier. POR had the better food court. I think POR has the best food court on property. POFQ had cuter bedspreads and I liked the buildings and grounds better. POR had better small pools. Did not care for the bathroom tile, but had personal reasons for that.

I even went back and stayed at POFQ a second time. Wouldn't knock myself out to do POR again, though.

Recap - I don't like NO and thought I'd hate them...still liked them. So, I figure that if you do like that sort of thing, you'll probably like them a lot. :)

POFQ is our favorite moderate resort. I don't understand how anyone could prefer POR over it. POFQ is much, much smaller and thus more intimate and romantic. It is a friendly neighborhood-like setting with beautiful grounds and rooms. You are also picked up by the shared POFQ/POR bus first and therefore have more of a chance getting a seat. The themeing is charming and the staff is great. I honestly cannot say enough about this resort.

I second the vote for POFQ. It was our resort of choice before joining DVC. In fact I even proposed to Pam in front of one of the fountains and when we got married at WDW all of our guests stayed there.

We love POFQ & have stayed there several times. We haven't stayed at Riverside yet so I can't say anything about staying there. We have visited POR
& it seems nice. We may stay there another time if we couldn't book FQ.

POR for sure. Both are nice, but to me the grounds and the exterior of the buildings are SOOO much more beautiful at POR. It is very large and spread out, but there is always a bus stop near your building, and we aren't really food court eaters, so we never needed to walk to the main building to eat. We liked the pools better at POR too. We have stayed in the Magnolia building there and loved it. It was close to the main pool and a quiet pool- right outside is the gazebo that you can see the fireworks from, and it was a short walk to the lobby building.

So so pretty!
