So sad,he was one of my favs from the eighties. Way to young. Why do stars spend their money on drugs. Either drugs or depression kills most famous people, it is a shame.

Saw his name in the headlines on the Bing homepage this morning and immediately thought "Crap. He's dead."

It's terribly sad, especially seeing he was thrown into the drug soaked meat grinder that was Hollywood nightlife in the 80's with zero supervision when he was just a boy. He never had a chance...

Not surpised at all. I saw The Two Coreys on A&E and really expected to read this headline much sooner than today.

Too bad he didn't take his drug money and buy acting lessons. He might have become a half-way decent actor if he had.

This has made me truly sad. He was such a big part of my growing up. I adored him. Such a waste. Drugs are evil evil evil.

My thoughts are with his mother. And I hope he is at peace now.

This is how I feel too. He was the crush of all the girls I knew growing up. I had his pictures all over my walls.

This was my exact reaction as well. I saw his name pop up and I just knew, he was gone.

I feel really bad for these kids who gets so famous when their are so young. Like you said, he never had a chance. Very few child actors pull themselves together and become "normal" adult actors. Most of them get so far into drugs and trouble the can never get out. Somehow the parents never seem to have any control over it.

I am so sad to hear this. I also had a huge crush on him growing up. Had his pictures all over my walls. It was so sad to see what happened to him while watching "The Two Corey's".

Drug/alcohol addiction is a DISEASE. Please people, don't forget that. He didn't choose this. He struggled with it for so long and it finally got the best of him. It is so very sad. RIP Corey

I was in high school in the 80's and he was very popular during that time. It's so sad. Another wasted life. It really makes me angry. I feel for his family.

It's only a matter of time before the other Corey comes out of the wood works to get publicity off of this. He did the same thing when Michael Jackson died.

I hope Corey is at peace now. I really hate drugs!

I just wanted to post that E and TMZ are both saying that this doesn't seem as cut and dry as an illegal drug overdose. While the guy did have drug problems in the past, reportedly, no illicit drugs were found in the apartment. There were prescription in his name found (no report on what) and reports that he was ill the last few days.

There is some speculation that this could be similar to the Brittany Murphy situation. She was suffering from pneumonia when she accidentally took lethal doses of prescription and over the counter meds to treat her illness.

I read a little more on CNN and it is the LA coroner who is saying no illicit drugs were found. Now he could have been abusing prescriptions, as those were found, but they aren't saying what those where. They could have been antibiotics for his illness for all we know.

According to a news wire report I just read, he was staying with his mother and taking care of her (she has cancer). He was on prescription meds for the past few days for "flu-like symptoms". He collapsed in front of his mother and she helped him to get to bed where he passed out and became unresponsive. She called 911 and he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Poor guy did have his demons along with his best friend Corey Feldman. Rest in Peace.

When I heard the news today, I was sad a little surprised because I thought he was sober.

The reason I was more upset than usual was because I got to meet him in October of 2008 at an autograph show in NJ. I was super excited to meet him. He was so sweet, he looked great. My brother had just been deployed to Iraq and I was wearing a shirt that read my brother is a Marine.

He did a little video message to him for us and then he asked what his name was and his rank he gave us a nice autograph. It makes me very sad now because he kept asking me to tell him that He loves him and he was his brother too and what was his email he wanted to write him. That meant alot to me. I loved him growing up and I felt he was the cuter Corey.

I just hope he is at peace now.

RIP Corey

Yeah, he had a history of drug addiction,but from many reports he has been clean and sober and doing pretty well. They are reporting he had been ill with flu like symptoms and was taking medications for this. I'm hoping he didnt fall back into the drug trap. Such a sad end for such a troubled soul.
