Need opinions on Coral Reef. Considering making reservation. Not many options for my date. Trying to fill in with something.

Coral Reef seems to get a lot of mixed reviews. We have eaten there on our last two trips. We had a very good meal there, especially last time. I really enjoyed it. I lot of people seem NOT to favor it favor much, but we plan on going back on our next trip.

We dined for dinner a few trips back. All our food was great! Desserts were delicious as well. We were seated right by a tank, which was not requested but a nice perk. Definitely a fun atmosphere.

Of all the options available at Epcot, Coral Reef is at the bottom of the list. There are too many better options for me to ever give it another chance. Unless you absolutely need to each fish while sitting next to an aquarium, pass.

We went to Coral Reef all our prior trips, passing on it this time - I say go to World Showcase and pick from a wide range of options there.

We have 3 meals planned in Epcot this year and have it on our list for DS. We did Garden Grill last year so doing Coral Reef, Via Napoli, and Rose and Crown (late for hopefully a good fireworks view) this year. We are on a mission to try all the Epcot Restaurants and Coral Reef is one we have tried yet. I am excited about it and think it is worth it to go with a kid Especially at least once.

We have a lunch ADR there and can't wait! We missed it on our last trip and don't want to again. While I do read reviews and take them into consideration, I feel it's up to ME to like or dislike something.

Our meal at Coral Reef was one of the worst meal we have had in or out of WDW. Our food was pretty awful and our service was bad. Our family loves to Dive at The Seas and have seen the restaurant many times from the tank and really wanted to eat there. We love seafood!

The restaurant is beautiful and the tank is lovely. We just had a bad experience, bad enough that we will not be back.

One of only 2 restaurants at WDW that we will never eat at again. Very poorly prepared food and horrible service. YMMV.

CR is hit or miss in my opinion, and for the price, it should not be. Our last meal was pretty disappointing, so we won't be back soon.

I've heard very mixed reviews on CR. I have my first ADR for it this coming trip, I figured I would make my own decision. And if it's bad I just won't go back.

We ate there a couple of years ago. The food was okay, I'd say on par with Red Lobster. We were seated in the back, so we didn't have much of a view of the tank at all. Not planning on returning because I have had much better meals elsewhere at Epcot.

We were skeptical to try it due to all the mixed reviews, but our 3 times eating there have been very good experiences and we have our next time booked for this year.

My son loves Coral Reef, I'm hoping I can book a Coral Reef candlelight processional package when they are released soon for our December trip. That was his one restaurant that he wanted to go back to.

We enjoyed our visit there a lot! We went for a 1:00 lunch and enjoyed everything. We wouldn't take it over any of our signature spots, but it was a very good lunch.

Coral Reef is one of those love it or hate it restaurants. I had a good dining experience last Fall. I went for a very early lunch (11:35 am) and was seated one row back from the tanks. My service wasn't great but I enjoyed the mahi-mahi and the turtle cheesecake. It had opened only 5 mins before my ADR but they were already running 15 mins late in seating. I would strongly recommend you make the earliest ADR that you can get (or the earliest you will eat) to minimize the wait time. This is one of those places where the wait to be seated chronically runs slow and a half hour or significantly longer wait is the norm.

We've been there several times. Most of the time, we've had good service, but it was terrible on one visit. So much depends on who your server is, and how full the restaurant is, I think. Our meals were good and the kids liked the aquarium. I agree that it's one of those places that you should take a kid to, at least once! My husband doesn't eat fish, so he got the steak and said it was good. The Chocolate Wave dessert is one of my favorite desserts. If it's a restaurant you want to try, go for it. Don't let a few bad reviews scare you off.

It was average. Might go back if there isn't another priority restaurant. Atmosphere was cool but the food wasn't spectacular and our server was far from great.
