Do you think this restaurant is worth the money? My daughters and I are thinking about going there.

I was wondering the same thing. I have heard good and bad about CR but my kids love aquariums and I think they will love it. But is it worth it if the food is horrible?

TIA

Our family ate lunch there last summer and did not like it at all. I don't remember what I ordered (it was fish) but I did not like the taste at all. Service was ok. Don't expect to sit in front of the aquarium as many (including us that time) do not.

I know that many people enjoy this restaurant but we did not. Maybe next year we will try it again.

I ate there two weeks ago and enjoyed it. I had read many mixed reviews about Coral Reef, so I went in with an open mind. My DH and I went for a late lunch and were seated at a booth on the level closest to the aquarium. That seemed to be the best place to sit and see the aquarium without having other people hover over you taking pictures. I'm not a big seafood fan so I wasn't really sure if I would like what I ordered. However, I really enjoyed the lobster bisque. My DH ordered a BBQ appetizer that was also really good. (I'm not a huge fan of BBQ either, but I really liked it.) For the main course I ordered the Mahi Mahi which was alright. My DH had the blackened(?) catfish. At least I think that's what it was called. It was really spicy. I enjoyed the restaurant and I will go back, but next time I'll stick with appetizers and a dessert. Lunch time was a good time to go see the restaurant without paying dinner prices. I hope that helps a little.

We at there last Sept and it was our best meal. The steaks are absolutely wonderful.

I spoke with a lady named Debbi there I explained that this a trip to celebrate dh's & my anniversary. She not only guaranteed seating next to the aquarium but the divers are going to bring a message to the window telling dh Happy Anniversary from me. Plus she told me to send her pictures of dh with little quotes from me they are going to make him a keepsake menu with the pictures and quotes in it. I think this will enough of a reason for us to go there.

If you don't sit right next to the aquarium can you still see it? I heard the restaurant is tiered, so I guess you can get a view from further away, but are there any tables that do not have a view at all? Sometimes I think it's nicer to get a better perspective than being right on top of the tank.

Try it , the atmosphere is very unique, and the restaurant is quiet. Although, as I commented to my DW last time, eating fish surrounded by an aquarium is like eating a steak in a cattle yard. maybe it's me!:scared1:

Easter @ CSR  can't wait!

We did not sit right next to the aquarium and could see great. It is tiered, so our view was great. I think I would rather sit futher away from the aquarium than to be right up on it.

I think it's a great atmosphere, and well worth at least one try. The food has always been good/ok for us, but we have always enjoyed. Have fun!

We really enjoyed it as well. I've been there twice this past year - sat right in front of the aquarium the first time and in the first tier U shaped tables the next. Actually perferred the U table! Food was incredible - service was good. Atmosphere beautiful. What more can you ask for?

When we were there it was loud but the food was great. We are going back this year maybe twice. Best food yummy.

What time are the divers there. We have booked for 6.10 for our May?June trip and my ds9 would enjoy seeing the divers.

We were there the end of January. Crab claw appetizers were very good, and the Mrs. fell in love with the Fish Chowder! So did my 8 yo. I had the Ahi Tuna with wasabi mashed potatoes. Excellent! The Mrs. had the Blackened Catfish. She enjoyed it but wished she had gotten the Tuna. Our server let our kids mix and match between the "Complete Kids Meal" and the ala carte kids menu. The food was wonderful but boy, was the restaurant LOUD...

We had reservations for 6:00, were seated about 6:30 and during dinner (6:30-7:30) we saw the divers...and a very large sea turtle!

We ate there last Aug. and Dec. both times it was the best meal of the trip.
We each had the steak.

So we honeymooned at DisneyWorld we got married memorial weekend 1999. We are going to Disney this May but the first part of the month. We have resevations for this restaurant and now that I have read about the divers I would like to do this. Would that be wrong considering that our anniversary will not be for a few weeks after our trip? We wanted to be there for our anniversary but dh's work schedule would not allow that week. So we decided to go early instead.

We ate there in December, everyone really enjoyed their meals. DD loved watching the scuba divers and she would get so excited when the sharks swan around. We plan on going back the next trip!

This is our first planned meal (also the most expensive, wish we could get the DDP staying at shades of green) and I wanted a special place to kick things off. It seems lately the reviews have been much improved. Convinced us to try it anyway.

Thanks for all the replies. I think we will try it. We will probably switch out one of the reservations we already have.
