Coral Reef Restaurant!

We ate there last week and the waiter was really terrible. The waiter barely said anything to us and rushed us out so quickly. The host was an older guy and such a sweetheart though! The tuna was pretty good and I really liked the shrimp cocktail as well (I liked the soy sauce instead of cocktail sauce). The steak was tough and dry, but i wouldn't expect it to be great at a seafood restaurant. The chocolate dessert was good, but a bit too rich for my tastes and the creme brulee had a funny aftertaste we didn't like.

how is the coral reef restaurant?is it worth the trip?

I definitely think it's worth one try. I do think it's worth it just for the ambience, but the food is good, too. It gets mixed to negative reviews, but we're going back for our next trip.

I kept hearing bad reviews here and was skeptical. I decide to try it myself. Wife and I ate here for lunch one adulttrip and loved it. We took our 10 and 7 year old. They loved it. I asked them tonight for restaurants they definitely wanted to go back to this summer 07. Coral Reef was at the top of their list.

I think that I know this host you reference - he really deserves a and is the highlight in a rather disappointing restaurant. He is sometimes stationed well outside the restaurant almost as if he has been parked there to solicit business, and is a real gem.
