Coral Reef Restaurant - Diver/menu - Discontinued for 2009

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for this informative thread. I also got a diver and 2 menus set up for a surprise. We're celebrating my Mom's birthday and I just want to make my DD feel special.

Can you all share some ideas of what a sign can say to my DD? I read earlier in this thread about "Ariel says Hi". I thought that was cute. I just want to welcome my DD to Disney World and I thought this would start off our trip in the most magical way.

That's awesome! Did you include any quotes or song lyrics with your menu information? She said I could and I did, but now looking at the menu, I don't see how she can fit it all in.

I planned personalized menus and a diver for our disneymoon last October as a surprise for my new husband! It was a great ending to our trip!

Thanks for sharing these. I'm trying to create some surprises for my DH. We will be celebrating our 5th anniversary and this is a great idea. I called the Coral Reef today!

It gave you option 2 for hostess and then 3 for team leaders? I think. I pressed 3 and left a message. I hope that's what I should have done. If not, let me know.

Tiggerlovinggrandma - you can send any photos your want for the menu. We had our first family trip in January and I send some recent photos of my kids for their menus (for their birthday).

I am bummed to see OP say this won't be offered in 2009....we are going back in December 2009 and I wanted to do this again!!!

If Debbi recieves an e-mail that she not expecting it comes in as spam and is deleted. I sent her an e-mail confirming the cake I ordered and the subject line said "possible spam." But I also had my ADR# and I guess that's why I got an answer. Just thought you'd like to know.

From what I understand, Debbi wants to be called first then she will instruct you to e-mail photos and wording. Make sure that you call and make your ADR so you can give her the # and reference it on your e-mail once she's contacted you. Good luck!

I now have the correct email- to anyone else who has this problem, remember that it is DEBBI not DEBBIE...

Can you please give me Debbi's email address? This sounds like a wonderful Idea and I am going to WDW in October.

PLease keep in mind that if Debbi recieves an unsolicited e-mail, the system reads it as spam and it is deleted. You must call first and then she will give you her e-mail, otherwise it could take much longer to get a response. Just thought you should know.

I just made my ADR for Jan 16th and called right away to reserve the diver and the manager said that as of now they don not have a contract with the divers for 2009. It was a special thing they were doing for the year of a million dreams with the diver and the banner and they were trying to re-new or establish some sort of continuation with the divers. He said Debbi was on vacation and that when she got back next week she would be working on it.
I am SO BUMMED- we are taking our kids on a surprise cruise and wanted the diver to show them a sign saying "tomorrow your going on a cruise"- how perfect would that be?!!!!

Anyways- He told me to call back mid-August to see if there had been any new developments- cross your fingers for all of us who want to do it in 2009!
