Hi everyone.

1. Is lunch calmer than dinner?
2. I was told on this board we would be seated at an upper level with 6 people. what does that mean? Can we still see the aquarium

3. Is the chocolate wave at lunch and dinner? One site lists at lunch only but the disney site lists it at both. I really want to try it :)

Thanks!!

1. Lunch is almost as hectic as dinner. It's best that you go off peak times. Either hit your lunch as soon as they open, or go between lunch and dinner.

2. With six people, you won't get a table on the floor next to the aquarium walls, but I think there might be some larger booths on all of the levels. The seating is tiered, though, so all seats have a view of the aquarium, just at varying distances.

3. I'm almost certain that the Chocolate Wave is served at both meals. I don't think it's as good as it used to be, though. It seems like the more they pretty it up with edible confetti and other plating flourishes, the more it tastes like it came from a Betty Crocker mix.

We are going the last week of January, which isn't so bad. My reservations are at 1 so maybe I should go earlier or later.

I like Coral Reef. We usually go the first week of June. But we go for a late lunch 2:30 or so. We always found the restaurant to be calm - half empty last time we went. You have good views of the aquarium all over the restaurant.

Other than the incredibly laid back service, we rate the Coral Reef very highly.

We sat on the backside of the next to last row at Coral Reef, and my kids were still able to check out all the fish with no problems. They give you a cool little guide to all the fish in the aquarium so my girls had fun trying to find each one. At least it kept them entertained during the 2+ hour meal!!!!

We went during dinner, it seemed rather calm, just SLOW service. I had the Chocolate Wave for dessert, although this was 3 years ago so don't know if they have removed it from the dinner menu since then.

We have been a party of six many times at Coral Reef. We have always been seated at a table on the first row of the second tier.

We have learned the only time that it's not a zoo here is when it first opens for lunch.

I went the last week in January of this year (the last Thursday of the month) and it was by no means empty. Lots of people trying walkups. We waited about 10-15 minutes or so to get our table. The dining area is on the small side, especially when compared to places like Whispering Canyon Cafe, or Wolfgang Puck Cafe, and definitely no where near Chef Mickey (which is stupidly big :3dglasses) That being said, the way the seats are arranged you can see the aquarium from anywhere you sit. You may prefer to be up off the "ground" tier so that there aren't any little ones pushing through to get right up to the windows of the tank :rolleyes1. Chocolate Wave was on the dinner dessert menu at that time.
