Today was 60+ for us and DW and I got up bright and early to make our reservations.

We got almost everything that we wanted, with one surprising exception. The exception is Coral Reef. While it's not our favorite restaurant on property DD is enchanted by the idea of the aquarium and so we were hoping to get a reservation for 3. There was not one day with availability between March 9th and 19th. We tried modifying the time, party size, everything that we could change and there was nothing. I have a hard time believing that Coral Reef is fully booked at exactly the 60+ mark, especially since we were focusing on the 18th which is at the end of the trip. We do have a reservation finder set up to try and capture this if it comes available but were just wondering if we should be hopeful or if this is a planned closure and our google powers are weak. Does anyone know if there is a planned refurbishment or something going on, or are they just waiting for some reason to open availability? Any info would be appreciated.

Beyond that, though, the news was mostly good. To give some hope to everyone else, here's what we got, all dinners and all at pretty reasonable times.

California Grill, Skipper Canteen, Space 220, Ogas, Raglan Road, Be Our Guest, Tiffins, Rose and Crown(our Coral Reef backup), and Grand Floridian Cafe.

I know that we are very fortunate to get Space 220, Oga's, and BOG, though at the risk of jinxing us on our next trip, they were surprisingly easy to get and as I previously mentioned, the times are all at actual, reasonable dinner times. The only one we wish was a little later is Tiffins, but as it is every reservation except Raglan Road had to be split into two groups because we are a group of 9 in total with extended family.

The fact that all of the reservation times are within 15 minutes for the groups was especially surprising, and while we'll check in early and ask to be put all together, we are prepared for that to not work out. This is doubly surprising because the app continued to tell us that it couldn't complete requests due to technical difficulties on both DW and I's phones and tablets and the website was what we will generously call slow and at one point didn't work at all for DW. We were convinced for a while that we would not get our first choices or if we did, we'd be sitting down at either 4 or 9.

So, with that, if anybody has any information about why there is no Coral Reef availability whatsoever we would love to hear it and to those coming up on their ADR window, we hope that your luck is as good as ours was.

I personally would keep an eye on it the next couple days - check in online and monitor your tracker. I find it very hard to believe they just haven't released tables for mid-March yet. I also find it hard to believe they'd be closing it down mid-March. There have been some restaurants that have not been ready to go with reservations 60 days out yet - possibly still some uncertainty around hours and staff. I think your chances are very good you'll be able to get it if you watch. Good luck!
