Coral Reef or GF Cafe?

We are just looking over our dining. We have Coral Reef booked one evening. We have not been there in years but love the atmosphere. However, the menu looks pretty limited. We have been to the GF Cafe before--also years ago. That menu looks great. What are your thoughts? Love the theming at CR, but of the food is not good, why go right?

We've done both. I would say the quality of the food is about the same at both, but the themeing of Coral Reef is fantastic.

It's been awhile since I've done CR ( about 5 years ) but I remember the food was very good. I know the menu is more limited now than it was back then. But we did enjoy our meal.

Last year we dropped in at GFC and it was one of the best meals we had on the trip.

If you're in Epcot, I'd stick with CR if it has something your party will eat. If you were hopping over for dinner then I'd choose GFC.

I would go with whatever works best in your plans for the evening as they are both comparable places for dinner. If you plan to do other things in Epcot that evening, I would stick with Coral Reef for the sheer convenience of it. The menu is limited but as long as there are things everyone in your party would be happy to order, you should be fine. If you really want to visit GFC, I would try to work it into a time when you are planning to be in the MK area. We dined there once and the food was good, but the service was very slow.

The atmosphere at Coral Reef is stunning, but we had a terrible experience there.

We were very much looking forward to eating there are my family scuba dives at EPCOT every year. We had terrible food and terrible service. There are so many better choices for us at EPCOT that we like to dine else where.

I like GFC; decent food and good service.
