Looking for a fun place to take a family of 10 for dinner on our first night at WDW. We currently have an ADR at CR but not sure if it will be right for 3 kids- 4,8,and 11. Garden Grill looks like more fun for the the kids but that fish take looks cool too! Just can't decide? Any thoughts?

The booths at Garden Grill are one sided so you can see all the attractions as the room revolves. So you will be all spread out basically side by side. If you are looking for conversation this might not be the place. Save it for later in the trip whne you are sick of each other. :)

I like both very much...you can't go wrong either way. Garden Grill, if it a character meal, will be a hit with the kids.

We, Personally, LOVE Garden Grill. The character interaction there is great, and it saves me from standing in 3 lines later. I like the rotation, the scenes, and we all enjoy the food. BUT, for 10 it might be a little more difficult.

I've eaten at GG with 14 people and it was fine. I loved the characters, the rotation, and the atmosphere there! And good food too.

Never been to Coral Reef though.

Love the Coral Reef but am a fan of the Garden Grill too. However with a party of 10, I agree it may be a little tough for the 1st night. Good luck making your decision.

We love Coral Reef. The food is great & I enjoy watching the fish. Looks like it'd be a better choice with your group size also.

We didn't like Coral Reef.

But, hubby is a VERY picky eater and I don't eat seafood. We have been to aquarium restaurants before, and this was no different from them.

It was fun to see the fish gliding by.

But, it was the LOUDEST restaurant we went to by far.

There were several large groups. We were on our honeymoon and got a table for two right up on the glass. I'm not sure how viewing would be if you were at the back of the restaurant, even though it is tiered.

We ate at both places on our trip. Having to choose just one to go back, it would be Garden Grill!! I still like Coral Reef, but if I could do only one...

Garden Grill, no question. Seating could be an issue because of the shape/size of the booths.

I have eaten at both and the coral reef was my favorite. They have large tables for your group and the everyone will love looking at all the sea ceatures, the turtles were the best. Still a tough decision though.
