I can't decide which restaurant to go to for lunch. We've been to Coral Reef, LOVED the atmosphere and thought the food was good. Never been to Chefs and I'm worried if we go there we won't enjoy it as much as CR. DS13 really wants to go back to CR, but DH wants to try something different. And I'm torn between the two.

I feel for you! We were torn between Sci-Fi and 50s PT at HS and ended up planning to do both - Sci-Fi for lunch and 50s PT for dinner - but since HS is a smaller park we figured it was okay to use up that much TS time in one day.

We also wanted to do both Coral Reef and Chefs at Epcot. We worked it out by scheduling Coral Reef for dinner on the date of our arrival (figuring it'll be a no pressure evening to check out a couple of things in FW and to eat, but not even planning to venture into WS) and scheduling Chefs for lunch on our "full Epcot day". I'm REALLY looking forward to both meals.

At least it's nice to have more good choices to eat at than fewer! :)

This is a budget mini vacation. ;) We're only staying 2 nights, at Pop (FL Res. Rate) and only going to 1 park, Epcot (AAA FL Res. discount). My plan is to go to a TS restaurant for lunch (cheaper) and probably do Seasons food court for dinner.

Well, I (of course) don't know how budget your trip is, but the lunch special at Chefs is a fantastic deal - $20 for soup, entree, and dessert - if you like one of the entree selections. It looks like we're going to have an extra one or two TS meals than allotted on the dining plan, and I think this is one we'll pay OOP since it's such a good deal. You can get three items at Chefs for less than one entree at CR. And even if you don't want the special, the salads and sandwiches are very reasonably priced.

Also, you may want to think about getting to the restaurant at lunchtime. About where in the park do you think you might be around that time? Will it be a pain to go (maybe back) to CR or do you think you'll be in the FW area anyway?

I hadn't thought about that. I'm sure we'll be in FW around lunchtime, as that's where DS wants to spend most of his time. Now that I think about it, we probably won't spend much time at all in WS. Maybe just to go to Norway for Malstrom (I think that's the name).

I would choose Coral Reef because of the atmosphere and also the chocolate wave dessert:thumbsup2
