Trying to decide between chefs and coral reef. My dd and I are not big seafood eaters, would we be happy with the steak or prime rib at Coral Reef?

I'm not a big seafood eater either -- I only like Shrimp and Lobster --and so everytime I've eaten at Coral Reef, I've always had the steak. I've never had a bad one there.

I've also eaten at Chefs de France. It can be rather noisy there, but I've always gotten good food there too. (Onion soup, onion soup, onion soup!) This was the first and last place I've ever had Escargot. They were okay, but squishy/slimeyish. The garlic butter that they are in is excellent, which made it easier to go down for me.

Either place are a good choice!

cr best food I eat the steak too.

We do Les Chefs. With Le Cellier and Concrouse, I don't need anymore steak on the trip. Escargot...yum...

I don't think you can go wrong choosing between Coral Reef and Chefs de France, though I feel Chefs de France is better -- really Chefs de France is the best of the 1TS restaurants overall.

I've never eaten at CDF, but I have at CR. CR was the best meal we had the whole trip!!! Everything was wonderful there. I guess it really depends on your server and who's cooking that day. We had a wonderful time. We got to see the divers and had a great view of the tank. My sister and I are returning there in December.

I was not at all impressed with Chefs de France. The experience was nice, nice atmosphere, our server was very patient while we did our best to order in French, but I just thought the food was lacking.

Coral Reef on the other hand was a very nice experience. I live in southeast Louisiana, so you don't have to go far to find nice seafood, so my standards there can be high. Yet, I was surprised with Coral Reef. The food was fresh, well prepared, and the portions were just right (you actually leave comfortably full, rather than miserably stuffed). The only drawback to CR is that our server was a bit on the snooty, unattentive side. Though, that's really his loss more than mine. I certainly plan to return to CR on my trip in Aug, however Chefs I think I will miss.
