We will be heading to WDW this Sunday for two weeks. I have all of our dining reservations made except for a couple of evenings. I am thinking about the Coral Reef. Any opinions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

DD, age 6, and DH just got back from their yearly trip - they ate there the first day and had such a great time and experience that they went back on the last day. DH travels extensively for work and eats well when doing so - after reading many reviews about the so-so CR food and service he was more than pleasently surprised at both experiences. Food and service both great and he felt that with the ddp wow! what a deal. Their meal would have been $70 just for there that day.

We make it a point to eat at Coral Reef every trip! The food has always been very good. However, you MAY want to check a recent menu, because they've taken out some of the more "expensive" dishes . . . no swordfish or lobster any more. :( I'm a huge seafood lover, but it sounds like if you're looking for a great seafood experience there's more eclectic offerings at other restaurants. Regardless though, the lobster bisque, Chocolate Wave, and the huge tank can hardly be beat. :)

Do Coral Reef... the atmosphere alone is worth the trip! :thumbsup2

Thanks much guys, I got the reservation for Wednesday evening. Looking forward to it.

Just Got Back Form The World Stayed 5/8 Till 5/17 We Purchased The Ddp And Loved It , Cost 1000 Dollars And When We Added Up All The Eating We Got Double The Value. As For The Coral Reef, We Where A Little Worried But Im Happy To Say I Loved The Place. Be Warned It Is A Bit Noisy But The Food Was Great. I Had The Lobster Bisque To Start Was Perfect, Then I Had The Catfish With Cheese Grits And That Was Amazing One Of The Best Meals I Had On The Trip. The Fish Was So Fresh You Where Waiting For It To Start Flopping In The Plate !!! And The Choclate Wave Was Out Of This World. I Highly Recommend The Coral Reef.

As of October, Coral Reef is one of my favorites!! And I don't eat fishy fishies. Had an awesome ceasar salad, meat & potatoes, and oooo... the chocolate wave!! YUM!! Can't wait to go back in June!!!
