We've been to WDW 6 times and I've always stayed away from Coral Reef but I'd like to try new places and the family going with us would really love the fishtank. Anyone been there recently?

We were there (me, DH, DS -7) for lunch on Dec. 6. It was wonderful, as always -- this is one of our "must-do" places. The place itself is beautiful; not only is the giant tank gorgeous, but the room is very subtly, nicely decorated. We always feel very relaxed, calm, and away from it all, which is one of the reasons we like it so much (it is a REAL break from the parks). The food is very good. We live in the Boston area and so have our pick of great seafood restaurants -- the food is comparable to what we get here. The kids get a "fish guide" to help them try to identify fish in the tank, and the kid meal choices are good. I would recommend this to you, indeed!

We were there Dec 3 for lunch. The decor & theming were very nice. Our waiter was excellent. Nothing on the menu really stood out to me so I ordered the steak which was quite good. The desserts were to die for especially the chocolate cake with liquid center. I'd recommend it if you've never been there before.

Our last visit was this past September...but we have always loved it. It's like an escape from the park. A little respite within your day. The tank is calming and the atmosphere is very nice. My kids love to see the sea turtle swim past! All of us enjoy looking at the fish ID cards and trying to check them all off! When we go I always get two shrimp cocktail appetizers instead of a dinner (I just LOVE them). My husband usually gets a steak and is always happy with it and my kids love getting a glow drink and a kid's meal. We don't usually do dessert but the time we did we were all happy with our choices. I don't think the food here is outstanding but the atmosphere is! It's a place you can relax and unwind and then feel refreshed for the rest of your day. At least for my family (self, dh and three ds ages 4, 6 and 9) it's a family favorite! :)

We were there for lunch on !2/03 and our food was okay- but just sitting next to the tank made it all worth it! My 8 year old LOVED it and the rest of us did too. He loved it when the sharks went by- or the giant sea turtle. It's an experience that's for sure!

We were there for lunch on 12/6. Luis was our server and after 2 hours of horrible service the manager comped our entire meal for 6 people. We were on the dining plan. We wonder if that had something to do with the service.

After 2 hours we still didn't have our dessert menus! The manager said that she just didn't have the words to explain what happened. Luis said he was running behind. We were his first table for lunch and he didn't greet us until we had been seated for 10 minutes. He said he didn't know that we were there. The manager was great and I will certainly go back. My DH vows to never return! ;)

The restaurant was beautiful and relaxing. We thought the food was great. We really wanted to try the chocolate wave but we were so exasperated that we just wanted to leave. The fish are so calming that my 3 year old fell asleep!
