I realize they have a childrens menu but I wondered if families with kids were actually comfortable dining there? My kids (DS5 and DS1.5) are well behaved but, they are kids and can be unpredictable. I thought my youngest would really like it because of the fish swimming by during dinner. When using 2 TS dining credits, I wondered if folks expected a more sophistocated (i.e. NO KIDS) experience. Also, would we feel out of place in the usual park-wear? Thanks!

We did this in August with our DS2 and we absolutely loved it. It was our favorite meal all week. Our son really enjoyed watching all the fish and the giant sea turtle that is in there. He also really enjoyed the electric blue ice cube that they gave him, it kept him fascinated when there wasnt anything swimming by. There were other children there also so I wouldnt worry about it. And yes, we wore what we were wearing from the park and didn't feel out of place at all.

We were there in July, and the people next to us had the CUTEST little boy (I'd say 2 or 3 MAX) and he was having the best time looking for the sharks and the sea turtles in the aquarium... He about lost it when the divers swam by. I'd say take them. They'll love it, and you'll have GREAT memories!!

Thanks so much everyone - you've settled my nerves. Bride2Be0705 congratulations on your wedding and pregnancy! Since you already love the "world" - you'll love it even more when you get to enjoy it through your children's eyes!

My husband and I ate there in 98 without kids and it was fine. I am thinking about trying it again next summer with kids. I think that it would be better with them there and enjoying their reactions to the aquarium.

It was my kids favorite place to eat! From the glowy ice cube drinks to the shark watching, it really is a wonderful experience. Have no fears, the place was full of kids when we went last Spring! We went in park gear, tired and a little crabby, and left relaxed and well fed. My favorite photo from our trip is one of our daughter standing at the aquarium window with her hand pressed to the hand of a scuba diver on the other side of the glass. It's a place for special memories! Enjoy! :fish: :fish: :fish:

Last time we visited we had nephew 5yrs, nephew 6 months, DD 14, DD 16 (special needs child) and DD 2 oh ya and the biggest kid of them all DH 40!! Hee hee. The kids loved the fish and our waiter MIKE was fantastic. The kids were given little menus with pictures of fish to color and then they could identify the fish in the tank. We were there when they were feedin the fish in the tank and the divers were there...FUN!!! Oh one thing to remember....there are no high chairs that we could see for the booths near the tank...DD had a clip to the table type of seat. She was ok with this but it was hard to feed her as the table was sort of a booth and we all sat on one side. You might want to ask for a table...not a booth near the tank.

Glad to hear small kids like this place. We are taking two toddlers in November and I made ressies here, so not as nervous as I had been. Thanks.

My kids really liked Coral Reef! Their absolute fav was the drinks with the blue glowing cubes and there is a plastic dolphin on the side to play with as well. I have a picky eater(5yr old at the time) and 2yrold who will eat most anything(except food allergy-soy) They colored, watched fish, there was a tour group diving in the tank at the time and that kept them very busy! There were 3 adults and three kids(one was an infant) we spent $150 including tip(shared appetizers and seperate deserts) the food was great and we are looking forward to the dining plan!!!

Planning on going here in January with DSS 2 and 5. What is better: lunch or dinner? When is a good time to go to see the divers and get a seat with a view of the aquarium? Thanks!

Our DS loved the aquarium when we were there a while back. If you can request a table near the viewing window you will really get a great view.
