Coral Reef even if can't sit by Aquarium???

Yes. I actually find the seats/booths further away have the best views.

We were seated in the back level and didn't regret it. The food was good and you could still see what was swimming around.

I believe the only tables along the aquarium are for two people. Every other table has a great view of the aquarium, though.

We've been seated asa party of 4 next to the aquarium many times. Anything larger, we've been seated further back. We've also been seated as a party of 2 on the middle tier, along with the bottom tier.

I agree that some of the best views are higher up. We are often seated next to the aquarium as a small party of 2 or four, but I love the higher booths, of not only the aquarium, but this spectacularly beautiful restaurant!

Good question.:thumbsup2 I was thinking about booking this for our next trip.

We were seated up on the higher level and still had great views of the aquariums and enjoyed the food too!

I think we've had tables at every level and honestly the views are about the same if not better the higher up your are, IMHO. Its nice to be against the glass, but we've had large groups (13) in a booth on the first floor -across from the glass. The lobster bisque is trypically very good - have had a few occasions when it was bland, but our last time there it was nice. I usually get the beef entree as I'm not much of a seafood fan, but dh and ds have generally enjoyed their fish entrees.

We've had a wide variety of service there - from excellent to not leaving a tip bad. I haven't seen as many consistent servers there as some of the other places. We've had some servers at Artist Point and CA Grill that have been there for years - haven't seen as much of that at CR. Generally they're pretty slow, but they don't rush you either.

CR isn't a must do to me, but its always a good back up

I'd rather a seat on the second level over a seat by the tank. From the second level you can see the entire wall of tanks while down by the glass you just see the one section. On the second level you eat in peace while up against the tank there's a chance of having your meal interrupted by people literally leaning over your table to see the tank (we really did witness that happening to other guests; that's when I realized how lucky we were to NOT get our request for a table by the tank).

Don't worry, you will have a great vantage point from anywhere in the restaurant. The tank is huge so you will see it from anywhere.

The first time we ate at Coral Reef we were shown to a table right next to the aquarium. We all thought it was great until people started squeezing in between our chairs and the people at the table behind us. The next time we went we were on the second tier and were much happier and the view was actually better!

I agree that the second level is best as you can see more of the tank. We were just there in December and had a great experience. It ended up being the second best dinner on the trip for my kid's rating system. Enjoy!:)
